Your treatment doesn’t finish when you leave the clinic.
The first few hours and days afterwards are an important part of the process, and a little care can help your skin settle comfortably.
Depending on your treatment, you may experience some temporary redness, swelling, tenderness or sensitivity. This can be completely normal, but it’s important to follow the specific aftercare advice provided for you.
A few general reminders:
✨ Keep the treated area clean
✨ Avoid unnecessary touching, rubbing or pressure
✨ Give your skin a little time before exposing it to excessive heat or strenuous activity
✨ Be mindful of alcohol and anything else that may increase bruising or swelling
✨ Protect your skin from the sun
✨ And most importantly, follow your personalised aftercare instructions
Every treatment and every person is different, so your aftercare may vary depending on your specific treatment.
And if something doesn’t feel right or you’re simply unsure about something afterwards, please get in touch. I’d always rather you ask than sit at home wondering.
Your care doesn’t stop when you leave Innerglo.

A little preparation can make your treatment experience that much smoother.
Before your appointment, there are a few things I like you to keep in mind.
Please let me know about any medications, supplements, recent illness, infections, dental procedures or anything else that may be relevant to your treatment.
Some medications and supplements can increase the likelihood of bruising, so it’s important that I know what you’re taking. If possible avoid medications such as Ibuprofen or Fish Oil 24-48 hour prior to you appointment. Please never stop a prescribed medication without speaking with your doctor.
If you’re feeling unwell, it’s also better to reschedule and allow your body to recover.
And if you have something important coming up — a wedding, holiday, event or special occasion — let me know. Treatment timing matters, and sometimes giving yourself a little extra time is the best approach.
My goal is always for you to feel informed, prepared and comfortable before you arrive.
Have questions about preparing for your appointment? Just ask. I am happy to help.

Thinking about treatment but not quite sure where to start?
At Innerglo, your appointment starts with a conversation.
We’ll talk about what you’d like to achieve, your concerns, your medical history and what may or may not be suitable for you.
I’ll take the time to assess your skin and facial features, explain the options available and make sure you understand what’s involved before we decide on a treatment plan.
And there’s absolutely no pressure to go ahead.
Sometimes the best treatment is to wait, do something differently, or simply have a little more time to think about your options.
For me, a good consultation is about making sure the treatment is right for you — not just finding a treatment to do.
If you’re considering a treatment and aren’t sure where to begin, you’re welcome to get in touch with Innerglo. 🤍

School holidays are here again! 🥰
Which means it’s time for me to step away from the clinic for a little break and spend some quality time with my boys.
I love what I do at Innerglo, but I also think it’s important to make time for the people who matter most — and school holidays give me the perfect excuse to slow down, switch off and enjoy some family time.
The clinic will be closed from Monday 21 September and I’ll be back in clinic Tuesday 29 September.
I’ll be taking a proper little break, so messages and enquiries will be answered when I’m back.
I hope everyone enjoys the school holidays, whether you’re heading away, keeping the kids entertained at home, or just enjoying a slower couple of weeks together.
See you back at Innerglo soon 🤍

A little reminder that your skin doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful.
Skin has texture. It has pores. It has fine lines. It changes with age, the seasons, hormones and everything else life brings with it.
And that’s okay.
For me, healthy skin isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about having skin that feels cared for, supported and healthy — and most importantly, skin that you feel confident in.
Sometimes that might mean improving the things that bother you. Sometimes it might mean simplifying your routine and giving your skin a little more care.
There is no one definition of beautiful skin.
It’s your skin. Your goals. Your confidence.
That’s what matters. 🤍

SkinPen® microneedling has arrived at Innerglo.
Microneedling uses a precision device to create controlled micro-injuries within the skin, triggering the skin’s natural repair response.
The aim? To support healthier-looking skin, improve the appearance of skin texture and encourage the natural processes involved in skin renewal.
At Innerglo, each SkinPen treatment is tailored to your skin, your concerns and where your skin is at that point in time.
I love that microneedling can be part of a longer-term approach to skin health rather than being about a quick fix.
Healthy skin is a process — and sometimes, consistency is where the magic happens.
If you’re curious about SkinPen and whether it’s suitable for your skin, you’re welcome to get in touch.

Have you noticed that fine lines seem to become more noticeable as the years go by?
There’s actually more going on than simply “getting older”.
As we age, our skin gradually produces less collagen and elastin. Cell turnover can slow, hydration can change and the skin becomes less resilient.
Then there are all the years of facial movement, sun exposure and environmental factors that our skin has experienced along the way.
All of these things contribute to changes in the way our skin looks and feels.
There is NO one-size-fits-all approach to ageing skin.
Understanding what is changing is an important part of working out what your skin actually needs.

Before we talk about treatment, we talk about you.
What are you hoping to achieve? What bothers you? What have you tried before? And, importantly, what don’t you want?
A good consultation isn’t about trying to convince you to have a treatment. It’s about taking the time to understand your concerns, assess your individual needs and talk through the options available to you.
Sometimes that means creating a treatment plan.
Sometimes it means starting with your skin.
And sometimes the best advice is to do nothing at all.
That’s why I believe the consultation is just as important as the treatment itself.
If you’ve been wondering where to start, you’re always welcome to book a consultation at Innerglo.

Cleanse. Treat. Protect.
Let’s not complicate things.
There are so many skincare products, steps and routines out there that it’s easy to feel like you need a shelf full of products to have healthy skin.
But sometimes, simple and consistent really is best.
Think about your skincare routine in three simple steps:
CLEANSE
Gently cleanse your skin to remove makeup, sunscreen, oil and the build-up from the day.
TREAT
Choose a product that is suited to your particular skin concern — whether that’s hydration, pigmentation, congestion, texture or signs of ageing.
PROTECT
Support your skin with a moisturiser and, every day, SPF. ☀️
Your routine may need a little more depending on your skin and your goals, but you don’t need to use everything at once.
The best skincare routine is one that suits your skin, fits into your life and is consistent.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by skincare or simply aren’t sure what your skin actually needs, that’s exactly what we can work through together at Innerglo.
Cleanse. Treat. Protect.
Keep it simple.

A little transparency about my Socials… 🤍
You may have noticed that my social media looks a little different to some aesthetic clinics, or perhaps it look the similar at times.
There are a couple of reasons for that.
Firstly, yes — some of my content is AI-assisted. 🤖
It helps me organise my thoughts, create visuals and turn my ideas into something that looks polished.
But the clinical knowledge, professional judgement, treatment planning and patient care behind Innerglo? That’s all me. 👩🏼⚕️
Secondly, Australia has very specific rules around advertising medicines and regulated health services. Many treatments used in cosmetic medicine involve prescription-only medicines, which means there are things I simply cannot advertise or promote publicly.
So when you see me talking about skin health, facial assessment, consultation, treatment planning and education, there is a reason for it.
And then there is something else that is really important to me…
I respect my patients’ privacy. 🤍
I don’t believe that someone coming into my clinic for a medical treatment automatically means their face, their treatment or their experience should become content for Socials.
These are medical treatments.
Real people.
Real conversations.
And sometimes, those things belong right here — in the consultation room, not on Socials
So if you’ve ever wondered why you don’t see lots of patient photos, treatment videos or dramatic results plastered across my page…
Now you know.
What you will see here is a little window into Innerglo — education, skin health, my clinic, my approach to treatment and the things I think are genuinely worth sharing.
Because I want this page to reflect the same thing I value inside my clinic:
professionalism, honesty, privacy and care. 🤍
