This stunning client invited Snip & Giggle into her world for a complete restyle, and she was dreaming of something somewhere between Ramona Flowers cool and AURORA ethereal!
So we got to work!
In just under two hours of fun, precision, patience and care, we got what we were looking for!
No rushing, no noisy or busy salon. Just a relaxed, personalised hair experience in the comfort of her home.

I see Mel looking after everyone from near and far, all the time, with her bright, nurturing soul, so it was so nice to pamper her!!!
We started with a super fresh layered cut, restoring the overall shape and allowing her amazing natural curl patterns to spring back into action!
followed by a cool diffused blow-dry to enhance all that gorgeous texture & movement, and add back in a ton of moisture!
The result? Bounce, definition, softness and curls with a new lease on life!

This little haircut was a beautiful reminder that anything is possible 💛
This gorgeous little guy was very scared of haircuts, especially the sound and feel of clippers.
So instead of asking him to ‘be brave’ we turned his haircut into a Choose Your Own Adventure!
He got to make the decisions, set the pace and steer the ship! 🚢✂️
We decided to steer away from clippers today.
Just scissors, lots of patience, trust & encouragement. And slowly, the fear softened into curiosity, confidence and a beautiful little sense of achievement!
These are the moments I love most about what we do.
It’s never just a quick haircut, It’s about meeting a child exactly where they are, creating a safe space and showing them that they’re always in control of their own journey. 💫
We loved the end result too!! 💇🏻🕺🏻💈

MUSIC FOR OUR LITTLE MUNCHKINS 🎶
As Snip & Giggle approaches its third year, I’m excited to share that Alanna’s Mobile Music Classes for Kids are now available! 🎶
After so many conversations with families, hearing how much children benefit from music, movement, voice, rhythm and connection with their inner world, I’ve expanded the offering to include mobile music sessions for children aged 4–16, delivered in the comfort of your own home.

ALMOST 3 YEARS of Snip & Giggle ✂️✨ 🎀💈💇🏻
In just a few months, Snip & Giggle will be three years old.
I’ve been sitting with that thought lately, feeling an enormous wave of gratitude for what this little business has become.
When I first launched Snip & Giggle, I had a vision of creating something special, intimate and different to support families all over the coast. I couldn’t really see this service out there, and facilitating music for families with additional needs, led me to this idea. A mobile hairdressing experience where children and adults could feel safe, understood, and genuinely comfortable being themselves!
I don’t think I could have imagined just how many beautiful families I would meet along the way!
Over the past almost three years, I’ve had the privilege of stepping into so many homes, meeting families from all walks of life, all ages and with such wonderfully individual needs.
Some of my little clients need extra time, patience and sensory sensitivity. And some just want to chat, sing, laugh, wiggle, have a snack, play with the sensory toys and eventually… maybe let me cut their hair. 😂
Every single client has taught me to celebrate the tiny victories, never underestimating a child’s innate wisdom and intuition, and how powerful it can be when someone simply ‘sees you’ regardless of age or needs.
Somewhere along the way, Snip & Giggle stopped feeling like just a business and became something so much more meaningful to me.
It has become a little community.
A place where parents can exhale.
Where children don’t have to fit a mould!
Where progress is progress, no matter how small it might look from the outside.
And to every family who has trusted me with their beautiful humans…
