Meet Lacey, one of our recent work experience students from Mareeba State High School!

Currently completing her Coxswain qualifications, Lacey joined us to gain valuable sea time while learning from our knowledgeable team of university-trained Marine Biologists and First Nations Cultural Guides.

Passionate about the Great Barrier Reef, Lacey hopes to kick-start a career in tourism after graduating Year 12, and we can’t wait to see where that passion takes her! 🪸

One of our favourite things about work experience is watching students grow in confidence throughout the week. We encourage them to choose a marine species that sparks their interest and share what they’ve learnt with guests on tour. We loved that Lacey’s first pick was a coral! 🪸

And luckily for Lacey, no saltwater crocodiles were spotted in the water during her time with us! 🤣🐊

Thanks for joining us, Lacey. We wish you all the best for your future in the industry! 🤿🩵
