- No smoking during this time
- Drink clear liquids
- Use a straw if you must drink anything other than water
- Avoid coloured toothpaste/mouthwash for 24 hours
- Stick to a “white diet” for 24 hours (think chicken, rice, potatoes, yogurt, fish)
