Cis allies- you know the point I’m making here but perhaps you haven’t experienced a change in being perceived quite like this!?
It’s an easy thing to do in this world- judge something physical based on your own idea of what men and women usually look like.
Trans ppl deconstruct all this and then we have ppl comment on our appearance or treat us differently and we realise that doing that work of breaking it all down is actually a rare thing that cis ppl don’t often do.
Firstly- why do we need to comment on someone’s appearance/presentation ( and yes, it happens)? But also- why is it so important to gender things like height and clothes and feet and voices?
It can be a lil strange and upsetting sometimes; also for non binary identifying ppl who may not wanna align with anything particular at all.
I don’t actually think any of the above descriptions are necessarily positive or negative. I’m so fine to be described as tall for instance- but it does make you think when you suddenly get different descriptions all because we’ve all begun life learning to expect women to look a certain way.

I can’t quite believe it’s been a whole year but here we are and I’m doing well!
I made the ffs process videos last year, and then this update now, because I remember how daunting it felt to have the surgery upcoming and that I struggled to find content in which anyone talked about the process. So, to anyone undergoing ffs or considering it- I hope this can be helpful.
It was as hard as I thought and it takes a while to get your results and settle- but it’s worth it; it has changed my life so much.

Just a few things I’ve told myself as a mantra; and things I also want to remind cis allies of. ‘Simple’ things that are easy to loose sight of.
