Re: To everyone who works for any ethical and legitimate small businesses

While many employees and team members contribute significantly to their employers' success, a small number act in ways that undermine it.

Do not steal. It is not only a criminal offense, but also unethical and immoral conduct, especially when you are well-paid, well-compensated and receive benefits from all employee advantages.

To rent a shop (especially in a shopping center), a business owner must serve as a personal guarantor for the lease. They have to use all their assets including investments, properties and their own home to do so. That means before that, they must work hard and achieve some success in order for them to do all those. Additionally, the business is responsible for paying rent, outgoings, and other expenses, with the highest being salaries and wages for employees and contractors. The risk they’ve taken is high.

It is crucial for the business owner to care for the team, ensuring that all members are paid on time. The owner should prioritize the team’s well-being, considering their families and dependents. Significant investment is required to establish the shop and cover all costs, ensuring that clients receive the best services. The list of expenses is extensive. Therefore, do not steal including but not limited to taking client contacts from the business (even previously signed agreement not to do so) and use them for personal gain either at home or by visiting clients to make your own money.

If you’re not happy with any places you are working for, communicate with the person in charge to share your wish or change your work place or start your own business but don’t steal.

Some of the owners are entitled to bring legal proceedings against you but others may not do so. Please think about why they have all evidence and proof to do so but they don’t do it.

Everyone (including workers and owners) has their own financial and non-financial reasons to act accordingly but remember that all the ethical and legitimate business owners/investors take a great risk to create environments for you to work and earn a living. They take risk way before any employee/workers do.

If you’ve got fired from your work due to this conduct, learn from it. If you are employed by another business, refrain from engaging in such activities. If you own a new business, imagine if your employees acted like you and stole clients.

It’s never too late to become a better person.

Success and achievement can be attained without harming others, and helping others not only brings joy but also earns a great reward and legitimate wealth.
