Kayleigh Pritchard Hair
I’ve been hairdressing since 2000. I’m originally from London and have been in Sydney since 2013. I have an extensive experience in all colours and cuts.
I am extremely passionate about my clients experience and making them feel good and look good.
What I did:
1. Prepped the hair using Mist
2. Mixed Blondor with 20vol for the foils
3. Mixed TPT 6.1 with 7vol for the lowlights
4. Tried to match the light grey/white with Blondor and the darker grey with the lowlight to get a natural blend.
5. For the toner I did TPT 9.11 with 15vol and then Steel by View with 10vol just to help kill as much warmth as possible!
6. I should have put this as number 1 but I cut the hair first!
7. Finished off with Mask
So so so happy with the outcome!! ♥️
My recommendations to my client is to come back 4-6 weeks for a toner, and then I can see how she is getting on with the colour and we can decide if we are going to carry on just doing toners or if it needs some more foils.
PART 1 - WHY DOES BROWN HAIR TURN BRASSY?
Ever noticed your beautiful, cool brunette colour gradually turning warm, orange or reddish over time?
Here’s why…
All hair has underlying warm pigments. Even the darkest brunettes contain natural red and orange tones.
When we colour hair, we’re not removing those warm pigments completely. We’re balancing them with cooler tones to create your desired shade.
So why does the warmth come back?
🤎 Colour fading – Over time, the cooler pigments in your colour fade, allowing the underlying warmth to become more visible.
🤎 Washing your hair – Frequent washing, particularly with hot water and harsh shampoos, can accelerate colour fading.
🤎 Sun exposure – UV rays can break down artificial colour pigments, revealing warmer tones.
🤎 Heat styling – Excessive heat can contribute to colour fading and make brassiness more noticeable.
Beautiful brunette hair is about more than depth. It’s about getting the tone just right! 👌🏻🤩
P.s how many times did you spot HOPR Exhale Watermelon Lime 🍉🍋🟩 drink in the reel?

FROM THE 1st OCTOBER…
Nothing changes! 🤍
I just wanted to personally reassure you that you don’t need to worry about any changes to how you pay.
I won’t be asking you to bank transfer your bill or pay me in cash.
I’ve always chosen to cover the card surcharge fees myself rather than pass them on to my clients, and I’ll continue to do that.
So please don’t worry — nothing changes for you at all. ❤️
