*"The Squirrel Who Forgot How to Share"*

Milo the squirrel had the biggest pile of acorns in the whole park. He counted them every morning. "1, 2, 3... 47! All mine!"

One chilly day, Pip the rabbit hopped by. "Milo, I'm so hungry. Can I have one acorn?"
Milo hugged his pile. "No! What if winter lasts forever? Then I’ll need all 47!"

Next came Sari the sparrow. "Milo, my baby birds are cold. Can we have one acorn to trade for warm leaves?"
Milo shook his head. "No! Mine, mine, mine!"

That night, a big wind blew. WHOOSH! Milo’s tree shook and all 47 acorns rolled down the hill... right into the pond. Plop, plop, plop.

Milo stared at the water. No acorns. Just a very empty, very sad tummy.

In the morning, Pip and Sari found him. Pip gave Milo half a carrot. Sari dropped a warm seed. "We share," they said. "Friends are better than acorns."

Milo’s cheeks turned red. The next fall, he collected acorns again. But this time, when Pip and Sari came by, he shouted, "1 for you, 1 for you, and 1 for me!"

And his pile felt bigger than 47 — because it was full of friends.
