Avoid sun exposure and tanning a week before and after a laser hair removal treatment. If you have a tan when you come in for your treatment, the amount of sun exposure will be assessed and you may be advised to wait a few weeks. This is to ensure that there is no damage to the skin.
Do not tan (outdoors and indoors) or use sunless tanners before laser hair removal treatment .
Protect your skin by using sunscreen.
Attend any scheduled follow-up or maintenance treatments as directed by your provider in a timely manner.
For Fake Tan:
You must not wear fake tan when having laser hair removal. You can use this in between your sessions and throughout your course, but your skin must be completely free from tan on the day of treatment. To ensure this you must stop applying this to your treatment area 7-10 days before your session is due.

To exfoliate after laser hair removal, you should begin gently exfoliating your skin two to three days after your hair removal session. Use a soft wash cloth, a puffy shower sponge, a gentle loofah or an exfoliating body wash. Do not use harsh scrubs that can leave your skin feeling dry. Opt for a natural exfoliating scrub, preferably using a shower loofa to apply the scrub. Repeat this process one to three times a week, doing it more if you know that your skin can hold up to the exfoliation process. If you have sensitive skin, you should try and aim to exfoliate once a week. Splash some drops of water on your skin to wet it. Pour some drops of the exfoliator on your palm and start rubbing it on the wet skin in a circular motion. Concentrate more on areas prone to ingrown hair, like the bikini line, underarms, etc
