Can this be considered cloning a dog?? Home tissue culture labs have its drawbacks, especially when it comes to the lack of a sterile environment…but this is kind of the cherry on top

Alocasia Sinuata “Quilted Dreams” mint - one of my most unique variegated plants.
Under bright light this plant pops out light green, almost white leaves. Under lower light, the leaves are their usual dark green with specks of mint scattered throughout.
She sure tests my patience though, this is probably the slowest growing alocasia in my collection
picked some flowers (noxious weeds but we won’t talk about that) and ended up with a bit of a surprise hanging out on the petals….😒 thrips are the bane of any plant enthusiasts existence

The hardest part about selling plants - thinking about old plants you’ve sold and wondering how well they’ve grown 🥲
I said goodbye to this stunning Alocasia Scalprum last year and have thought about it a few times (half wondering how it’s doing, half regretting selling it) there’s a few that kept a choke hold on me but this one’s right at the top of the list. Out of all the Scalprum aurea I’ve tissue cultured, this one grew out to be by far the most balanced

What better excuse to appreciate Hoya flowers than during the record-breaking June rain in Edmonton ☔️
Sadly, our basement lost the battle against the floodwaters. Praying it doesn’t get worse throughout this next week long torrential downpour 🥲 hope everyone is staying dry!!

Always on the hunt for the weird ones 🌱
wish I could say this monstera bulbasaur was mine but unfortunately I only got to enjoy it in person at the Edmonton Aroid Show for a few minutes 🤪
