✨ WAXING vs. SUGARING — what’s the difference?
They both get us to the same goal—smooth, hair-free skin—but how they get there is a little different!
🍯 WHAT THEY’RE MADE OF
Wax is typically made from resins and other ingredients designed to grip the hair. Sugaring paste is a simple blend traditionally made with sugar, water and lemon.
↔️ HOW THEY’RE APPLIED
Wax is applied in the direction of hair growth and removed against it.
Sugar is applied against the direction of hair growth and removed in the direction the hair naturally grows.
✨ HOW THEY’RE REMOVED
Wax may be removed with a strip or, with hard wax, removed on its own once set.
Sugar paste is worked with the hands and flicked away—no strips needed with traditional hand sugaring.

Throughout the month, proceeds from every pink manicure, pink pedicure, and pink product purchased will be donated to Breast Cancer Action Kingston.
Breast Cancer Action Kingston provides support, education and resources for people affected by breast cancer in our community, helping individuals and families navigate the journey from diagnosis through treatment, recovery and beyond.
