They say patience is a virtue, and as a business owner, I have tried to be more than patient. I have held this pain in my heart for over a year. I didn’t want to come online and bring another business down, because I know firsthand that things can go wrong in business.
But there is a massive difference between an honest mistake and a total refusal to take accountability.
What hurts the most is that Air Canada has refused to take responsibility for this theft.
I didn’t just lose a massive amount of money. I lost a highly credible, high-value client.
It’s not every day you find a client who will easily part with over $15,000 just to buy a premium wig. This was her very first time buying from me, referred by a friend.
Even when another party stepped in to try and resolve the issue with her, she ultimately wasn’t having it because she felt I was lying to her.
Air Canada’s negligence completely ruined my business’s reputation with her.
If $14,000+ leaves a small business, what is left? These are the silent battles business owners fight behind the scenes that nobody sees.
I’m currently dealing with another issue with Canada Post, but the difference is they are taking responsibility and it’s just a matter of time. Air Canada, on the other hand, is completely dodging accountability. It feels like they are openly stealing from small businesses without a single ounce of remorse.
