“Aim low, reach your goals, and avoid disappointment.” Sound words to live by 😂 I figure by always aiming low, I’ll always feel accomplished 🤣😂
That being said, Run #10 of the year is in the books and I’m done for the year. I set out to run 10x this year, and I nailed that goal yesterday. It was the slowest I’ve ever run, but I was still running and out there doing it. If the unseasonably warm weather continues for the next little while, dare I say I may surpass my goals and nail down an 11th run? As the muscles soreness in my legs continue to set in, that just seems like crazy talk right now.

9th run of the year done ✅
1 more to go 😂 I Ran close to home cuz weatherman called for rain and I didn’t want to get caught in it. Turns out, the rain never came, but did manage to map out that 2 blocks worth of condos is about 400m... so if I ever grow up and want to do speed work close to home, I can... but that’s just crazy talk right now.
“Consistency” - a word you’ll likely hear from experienced runners and coaches. It’s important in any training plan, running or otherwise. Which could explain why my run today sucked a$$. I’m inconsistent af. Right out of the gate my throat and chest started burning and by the 2km mark, my legs were heavy and sluggish. I had to really fight to get 6km in today, And at times, I felt my run gait mimicked a drunk penguin waddling about, but I eventually got there. But omfg it was awful.
I missed a photo op of a cute squirrel drinking water at a puddle... so instead, swipe left ⬅️ to see my version of super nachos and my doggo with what looks like corona virus 🦠 and her other favourite toy.
I may just make this account to include food and my dog, as well as fitness and physical rehab 😂

8th run of the year in the books. 2 more and I’ll call it when I hit 10 for the year 😂
If you run, you’ll often hear about how important rest & recovery is in your training... and no one rests better than this guy 🤙🏽 💤 I mean, it’s been almost 2.5 months since I last ran, so I was ready for today. Took it super easy today, cuz let’s face it... my knees aren’t ready for the excess weight jiggling around per step.
Forgot to take a pic when I was running... cuz I didn’t want to stop and pull out my phone. So swipe left ⬅️ to see a pic of some Bimbimbap I made 4 months ago, and my doggo cuz I think she’s cute.

7th run done. I might cap this at an even 10 for the year 😂 A disciplined runner would probably get out early, like 5 or 6 am to beat the heat and crowds. Not this guy... cuz getting up early sucks. I apparently would rather get up and run with the sun at its peak and at its hottest 🥵 At least wasn’t an issue.

6th run of the year in the bag. First time in a long time I was able to muster the energy to get out 2 days in a row. I was tired on this run.
I saw this hill on my run... and immediately turned around and ran back to flat ground. A lot of runners talk about crushing hills... not this guy, cuz running hills sucks. I’m not training for anything, so why?

Well that one hurt 😖Haven’t run in a little over than 9 months, so it’s to be expected. Took it nice and easy on this run, reintroducing the grind to my legs. Getting my game on too... just for the most part. Maybe I’ll do this again... in another 9 mos... or tomorrow... probably the next day if I’m being honest with myself 💁🏽♂️
