If you’ve been to my home studio, you’ve probably noticed this photo in my office. Today I’m sharing the story behind it.

It was taken in Cuba, a place that’s held a special spot in my heart ever since my honeymoon there in 2006. The people, the music, the dancing, the nature, the nostalgia... I miss it all and every time I look at this photo, I think of Cuba and hope it will be okay.

I wanted a timeless photo where I wasn’t the obvious subject but more a part of the scenery, a feeling of a beautiful, windy day. So I set the camera on a tripod, chose my composition, then ran toward the palm tree and just let myself enjoy the moment and the wind.
