Felt like sharing some pics of my trip to Cali a few years ago. San Francisco, CA is by far one of the most beautiful places Iโ€™ve been to! Iโ€™d love to go back soon!! All I know is that the Westcoast looked good one me ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ๐ŸŒŠโœจ

The Westcoast is simply a vibe โœจ Seeing the ocean ๐ŸŒŠ & hiking among the Redwood trees ๐ŸŒณ which are HUGE, makes it feel like youโ€™re in another world, itโ€™s just so majestic โœจ

I started working out ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ again after taking time to heal a previous injury that held me up for awhile. I began feeling amazing but for the last 2 weeks I kinda fell off because work has been so consuming ๐Ÿ˜ฉ.

Donโ€™t get me wrong, I have a pretty good job I just need to be accountable to my other goals as well. Blessed ๐Ÿ˜‡ to have good genes because when I work out regularly I get like fit fit ๐Ÿ˜….

Sometimes you gotta give that man back to his mom, and leave like his Dad. Real deadly quote I heard today ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฃ

Very insightful 3 day experience here at Apitipi Anicinapek Reserve, as I attended the All Chiefs NAN Keewaywin Conference.

This is where Chiefs pass resolutions in order to affirm their stance on issues related to our ways of governing. I will always stand up โœŠ๐Ÿฝ for my people, weโ€™ve been through enough ๐Ÿชถโœจ

Last week I had the opportunity to fly on a charter to visit the community of Fort Albany. Itโ€™s near the James Bay coast & the people here said that this river is actually very low for this time of year.

I felt very honoured to be welcomed into the community, to serve dinner at the community feast, & listen to their language & stories ๐Ÿชถ surrounding child welfare & family wellbeing.

Hearing the language made me emotional ๐Ÿฅน at one point, as one Elder described living on the land, and having more than enough; but now things are much harder & harder for people in community. Feeling very fortunate to share space with my people everyday ๐ŸชถโœŠ๐Ÿฝ

According to legend, an Anishinaabe Chiefs daughter saved the people of her village by leading members of the Sioux tribe down a 130 foot drop off of these falls ๐Ÿ˜ณ. She was a brave warrior ๐Ÿชถ

While I was on these trails, I felt an immense weight. I felt anxious & like I had trouble breathing ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ. I looked up the stories surrounding this area, and I saw that the Ojibwe people (my people โœŠ๐ŸฝโœŠ๐Ÿฝ) saw rocks within the cavity of the caves as an evil spirit ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌ.

Wild to me that I was able to pick up on all that energy (I only read up on the stories after the hike)!!
