Felt-tip & brush-tip liners are flow-through pens, so the inside can’t be properly sanitized after use on a client. Sponges & powder puffs are porous and also can’t be fully sanitized for use on multiple clients.

As a professional makeup artist, you need to know the BEST setting spray for your clients… and yourself!
This battle honestly surprised me 😳 Here are my rankings below:
1. FIXING SPRAY 9.5/10
Out of all of these setting sprays, this product felt the most natural on my skin. The only reason I’m giving it -0.5 is because there is a slight bit of eyeshadow that transferred to my finger.
2. .canada INFALLIBLE 3-SECOND SETTING MIST 9.5/10
Out of all these setting mists, this one felt the most tight on my skin (reason for -0.5). Otherwise, it dried super quick and there was no transfer.
3. FINAL SEAL 8/10
Out of all these setting sprays, this one was the most sticky. It took a little longer than the aerosol sprays to dry down, but no transfer!
4. AIRBRUSH FLAWLESS SETTING SPRAY 2/10
Ok, this is the setting spray that surprised me the most. I actually had to do this test twice just in case I didn’t let it dry well enough the first go… both tries had the same result. Out of all these setting sprays, this one was the worst for transfer and took the longest to dry. 2 points because it smells nice!
5. ON ‘TIL DAWN WATERPROOF SETTING SPRAY 10/10
Perfect! That’s all I have to say! Great smell, dried super quick, and no transfer.
6. GREEN MARBLE SELR SETTING SPRAY 8.5/10
Out of all these settings sprays, this is the only one that gives me a tough time when spraying- sometimes the nozzle gets clogged, and I have to run it under some warm water to make sure it doesn’t spray in weird directions. It took a little bit more time than the aerosol sprays to dry down, but no transfer.
