WHY DO HEALTHCARE WORKERS ASK ABOUT YOUR PAST MEDICAL HISTORY?

Dear patients, when we ask you to tell us about your PAST MEDICAL HISTORY, it is not because we want to mock you, judge you, or simply collect information.

We ask because that history can help us understand what may be happening to you NOW.

Sometimes something you experienced in the past may be connected to the problem you're currently having.

So please, when a healthcare professional asks about your history, BE HONEST AND SHARE THE INFORMATION.

There is a reason we are asking.

Thank you for understanding.

DON'T SHARE YOUR TOOTHBRUSH.

Even with someone close to you, toothbrushes can transfer germs and blood from the gums.

Please don't take ANTIBIOTICS just because you have a fever, cough, or body pain.

Not every infection needs antibiotics, and using them wrongly can lead to ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANCE.

Take antibiotics only when properly prescribed.

To YOU who is dealing with a health challenge, please remember this:

YOUR HEALTH CHALLENGE IS NOT YOUR LAST BUS STOP.
Having a health challenge does not make you LESS than the people around you.
Don't look at someone else and feel like they are better than you because of what you're going through.

You are BEAUTIFUL. You are VALUABLE. And I love you just the way you are.
This health challenge may be challenging you TODAY, but it does not mean this is how your story will end. Better days can still come.
So please, don't let your health challenge make you feel LESS OF YOURSELF.

Good morning. I wish you a beautiful day.
Keep taking your prescribed medications, follow the advice given by your healthcare provider, and keep practising healthy habits that support your health.

Keep following Nurse Faith for more health awareness.
