Here are the times for the HW Live event tomorrow!!! I’m so honoured to be speaking! I can’t wait to see you all there! 💋❤️🙏🏻

June is infertility awareness month.

🌸But for those living it, infertility isn’t June.

And while I deeply appreciate that infertility is being talked about more openly…

Can I gently say something?

For those of us who have lived it…

It isn’t just a month.

It’s January. February. March. The birthdays. The baby showers. The two-week waits. The negative tests. The appointments. The injections. The grief. The hope.

The waiting.

It’s the months you planned your life around ovulation.

The months you avoided baby showers.

The months spent researching supplements at midnight.

The injections.
The scans.
The waiting.
The hoping.
The grieving.
The trying again.

It’s sitting in fertility clinics.

It’s wondering if anyone else understands.

It’s advocating for yourself.

It’s becoming an accidental expert in hormones, embryos, uterine lining and acronyms you never wanted to learn.

And that’s why I created Miracle Mama.

Because I remember how lonely it felt trying to piece together information from twenty different places while carrying the emotional weight of infertility.

I have created a space where women can find science, support, education, community and compassion all in one place.

Not just for June.

But for every month they need it.

🤍 To anyone navigating fertility right now:

I see you.

You are not behind.

You are not broken.

And you shouldn’t have to figure it all out alone.

With love,

Charlotte ✨

The ones giving injections.

Holding hands during scans.

Carrying silent grief.

Navigating male infertility.

Showing up after failed cycles.

Loving fiercely while waiting patiently.

And to the Papas supporting their daughters going through this journey….

Some fathers hold babies today.

Some hold hope.

Both deserve to be seen.

Much love ❤️

Thank you 🙏🏻 for following this mini series! Let’s pull it all together

🎤✨ Microbiome Mic-Drop Moment: Part 5

How Do We Actually Prepare the ecosystem?

Everyone talks about the embryo.

Far fewer people talk about the environment that embryo is arriving into.

Because fertility isn’t just about the seed.

🌱 It’s also about the ecosystem

So, what does supporting your microbiome actually look like?

✨ Feed your good bacteria
Think colourful plants, fibre, fermented foods, yoghurt, kefir, sauerkraut, kimchi, and prebiotic foods such as garlic, onions, leeks, oats, apples and legumes.

✨ Keep blood sugar steady
Large blood sugar spikes may contribute to inflammation and microbial imbalance. Building meals around protein, healthy fats and fibre can help support metabolic health.

✨ Move your body
No bootcamp required. Walking, Pilates, yoga, dancing in your kitchen, or a gentle gym session all help improve insulin sensitivity and support a healthier microbiome. No judgment. Just movement that feels good.

✨ Reduce inflammation
Prioritise sleep, manage stress, eat omega-3-rich foods, stay hydrated, and limit ultra-processed foods where you can. Progress over perfection.

✨ Remember your gut is your “second brain”
Did you know that around 90–95% of the body’s serotonin is produced in the gut? Your gut microbes influence mood, immunity, inflammation, and may even impact reproductive health. When we support the gut, we’re supporting far more than digestion.

✨ Ask better questions
If you’ve experienced recurrent implantation failure, multiple IVF cycles, or repeated courses of antibiotics, it may be worth discussing the reproductive microbiome with your healthcare team.

🎤 Mic-drop moment:

A beautiful embryo matters.
But so does the ecosystem it’s arriving into.
Sometimes the next step isn’t trying harder.
It’s preparing more intentionally.

Always discuss supplements, probiotics, and treatment decisions with your fertility specialist

Part 4: Meet Lactobacillus crispatus – The Fertility Bacteria Everyone Is Talking About

By now, you know your microbiome isn’t just about gut health.

It extends from your mouth to your reproductive tract, helping regulate immunity, inflammation, hormones, and overall health.

But there’s one bacterium that’s getting a lot of attention in fertility research: Bacteria might give you the ick but this one is one of the good guys!

🦠 Lactobacillus crispatus

Why does it matter?

L. crispatus is one of the beneficial bacteria that helps maintain a healthy, acidic va**nal environment, supports microbial balance, and may contribute to a more receptive reproductive environment.

Research has found that women with a Lactobacillus-dominant microbiome often have more favourable reproductive outcomes compared with women whose microbiome is depleted or imbalanced.

Now, let’s be clear…

This doesn’t mean L. crispatus causes pregnancy.

And it certainly doesn’t guarantee IVF success.

Fertility is complex.

Hormones matter.

Egg quality matters.

Embryo quality matters.

Genetics matter.

The immune system matters.

But researchers are increasingly asking another question:

🌱 What kind of environment is your embryo arriving into?

You can have a beautiful, genetically normal embryo.

But implantation is still an interaction between the embryo and its environment.

Think of it this way:

🌱 The embryo is the seed.

🌱 The endometrium is the soil.

🦠 The microbiome helps shape the soil.

For years, we’ve focused almost exclusively on the seed.

Perhaps it’s time we paid more attention to the soil, too.

Because sometimes, the most important players in fertility are the ones you can’t even see.

✨ In Part 5, we’ll discuss practical ways to support your microbiome and prepare the healthiest possible terrain.

🎤 THE MICROBIOME MIC-DROP MOMENT
Part 3: What Could Be Disrupting Your Fertility Microbiome?

By now, you know your microbiome may play an important role in creating a healthy environment for implantation.

But what many women don’t realise is that this delicate ecosystem can be disrupted.

One of the biggest influences?

Antibiotics.

Now, let’s be clear: antibiotics can be essential and life-saving. They play an important role in fertility treatment and are often prescribed after procedures such as egg collection to reduce the risk of infection.

But antibiotics don’t just target harmful bacteria.

They can also affect beneficial bacteria, including the Lactobacillus species that help maintain balance within the reproductive tract.

For women who have undergone multiple egg collections, multiple IVF cycles, or repeated courses of antibiotics, it’s worth asking:

Has my microbiome had a chance to recover?

Other factors that may influence your microbiome include:

✨ Chronic stress

✨ Poor sleep

✨ Highly processed diets

✨ High sugar intake

✨ Gut health imbalances

✨ Inflammation

✨ Recurrent infections

The microbiome is not static.

It is constantly changing and responding to your environment, your lifestyle, and your medical treatments.

This isn’t about blaming antibiotics.

It’s about understanding the whole picture.

Because every fertility journey is about more than creating embryos.

It’s also about creating the most supportive environment possible for those embryos to implant and thrive.

🌱 The seed matters.

🌱 The soil matters too.

In Part 4, we’ll explore why researchers are paying so much attention to one particular bacterium—Lactobacillus crispatus—and what makes it such an important player in reproductive health.

Stay tuned…

🎤 THE MICROBIOME MIC-DROP MOMENT
Part 2: What Does Your Microbiome Have to Do With Fertility?

If you read Part 1, you’ll know your microbiome isn’t just in your gut.

It’s an entire ecosystem that exists from your mouth to your reproductive tract.

And here’s where it gets interesting…

Your fertility journey isn’t just about hormones, egg quality, embryo quality, or genetics.

Emerging research suggests your reproductive microbiome may also play an important role.

Yes, your va**na and uterus have their own microbial communities.

In many healthy reproductive environments, beneficial bacteria called Lactobacillus dominate—particularly Lactobacillus crispatus.

Researchers have found that Lactobacillus-rich environments are associated with more favourable reproductive outcomes compared to environments where these beneficial bacteria are depleted.

Now, this doesn’t mean one bacteria causes pregnancy.

Fertility is far more complex than that.

But it does raise an important question:

🌱 What kind of environment is your embryo arriving into?

You can have a beautiful, genetically normal embryo, but implantation also depends on the “soil” it lands in.

The embryo is the seed.

The endometrium is the soil.

And your microbiome may be one of the factors helping shape that soil.

This is why the microbiome conversation matters.

Not because it’s the whole story.

But because it may be a piece of the story that many women have never been told.

In Part 3, we’ll explore what can disrupt the reproductive microbiome—including something many IVF patients receive after egg collection.
