🏃♀️ Day 3 of my 5K a Day Challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer 💛
Today felt like a huge milestone.
For the first time in a very long time, I ran the entire 5K without stopping! 🎉
It wasn’t the fastest run, and it certainly wasn’t the easiest, but I kept putting one foot in front of the other and got it done. That’s what I’m most proud of.
This challenge is about so much more than the miles. It’s about pushing myself, building consistency, and raising awareness and support for the incredible work that Young Lives vs Cancer do for children and families facing cancer.
3 days down, 27 to go. 💪
Every step is for a reason. Every kilometre is for a family who needs support.

🏃♀️ Day by day, one step at a time… 💛
As I’m taking on the 5K a Day in June challenge for Young Lives vs Cancer, I’m also making a conscious effort to fuel my body properly.
Today has been all about balance:
🥣 Oats with strawberries, chia seeds and prebiotic fibre to start the day.
🥗 A protein-packed chicken salad loaded with colourful vegetables.
🍓 Greek yogurt with strawberries and blueberries for a nourishing snack.
🍜 Chicken stir fry planned for dinner to keep my energy levels topped up.
When we’re asking more from our bodies through extra walking, running or exercise, it’s so important to think about what we’re putting back in. Protein helps support recovery, fibre supports gut health, and good nutrition helps keep energy levels more stable throughout the day.
I’m not aiming for perfection, just consistency. Every healthy choice is another way of supporting my body while I take on this challenge.

We’re so used to brushing these things off…
“I’m just tired”

“It’s just hormones”
