🌎 Mental Health Day

Today is a reminder that looking after ourselves means more than just looking after our skin.

Sometimes we’re so busy looking after everyone else that we forget to check in with ourselves. We carry on, put on a brave face & say we’re fine, even when we’re not.

But it’s OK not to be OK!

This year’s theme is “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change” - a reminder of how important it is to listen, to share our experiences when we feel able to, & to make sure people feel heard rather than judged.

Sometimes self-care is taking five minutes with a favourite skincare product & enjoying a little peace & quiet.

Sometimes it’s getting outside for some fresh air, having a cuppa with a friend or giving yourself permission to say no.

And sometimes it’s picking up the phone, asking for help or simply telling someone you trust how you’re really feeling.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to wellbeing, & you don’t have to earn the right to rest.

So today, as well as being kind to your skin, please be kind to yourself, too. And if someone pops into your mind, why not check in on them? A simple message or a listening ear might mean more than you realise.

You don’t have to have all the answers, sometimes, just being there is enough!!

I’ve just popped a fresh refill into my Confidence deodorant and I’m loving it. I love that I can just replace the refill instead of buying a whole new deodorant each time.

I took a photo of the instructions because I usually chuck the boxes out… and I know I’ll forget how to do it in a few weeks 😂

There are two lovely options, depending on what you’re looking for:

🌿 Confidence is the refillable, aluminium-free deodorant. The starter set comes with the reusable case and two refills for £28, then refills are £8 each. The refills come in paper-based packaging, so it’s a lovely option if you’re trying to cut down on waste.

🍋 Feel Fresh is a soothing cream antiperspirant in an 80ml tube, currently £14. It has a lovely fresh, citrus scent and is a great choice if you prefer an antiperspirant.
