🌱 A reset - what does it actually mean?
Well that depends on you and your goals.
It isn't starting a new diet or exercise regime.
It doesn't mean giving up everything you enjoy.
And it definitely doesn't mean trying to become someone new overnight.
⏯️ A reset is taking a pause, stepping back and asking yourself some simple questions:
1. How am I actually feeling?
2. What is giving me energy and what is draining me?
3. How am I sleeping?
4. How am I managing stress?
5. Am I moving in a way that makes me feel good?
6. How do I feel about my nutrition?
7. Am I making enough time for me?
8. What would make the biggest difference (positively) to how I feel?
There is no perfect reset, just your reset # # #

🎃 Hello October..... A time to be optimistic? 🍂
We have become very good at putting our health and wellbeing on hold.
How often do you hear yourself or others say....
"I'll wait until Monday"
"I'll do it in the New Year"
"I'll start when I get back from holiday"
But what if you didn't wait?
What if you started now?
🍂 October is actually the perfect time to reset.
The summer is behind us and the busy run-up to Christmas hasn't started just yet!
There is still plenty of time to make some positive changes that will affect your health, wellbeing and how you feel before the end of the year.
Maybe you want more energy?
Better sleep?
Less stress?
A healthier relationship with food?
To move more?
More time for you?
Better balance?
Or maybe you just want to feel more like you again?
There is no one size fits all approach to health and wellbeing - you decide.
But don't wait - start now # # #
I saw a post yesterday with some facts and figures about women that made me stop and think.
We so often compare ourselves to other people on the internet, our friends, colleagues or our former, younger selves.
But actually what we need to be doing is looking at OUR progress, OUR results, how far WE have come.
Sometime this is hard because we have been in a good place and then slipped back. That is okay.
Look forward, think about what you CAN do, measure your progress and don't compare yourself to anyone else # # #
And just for fun, here are a few of the facts......
🏅Less than 1% of women have run a marathon
🏃♀️➡️The average 5km time is 40mins
🙆♀️Average attendance at the gym is 1-1.5 times a week
STOP comparing yourself to others and focus on YOU - have a great day # # #

Use this monthly guide to look at how you are going look after yourself this month.
Use today to think about how you are going to put time aside for you. Whether that be an indulgent skincare routine after a long bath, reading a book, a night away or just some you time without the hussle and bussle of life.

French toast and cinnamon for breakfast today with a side of berries.
Berries are a great choice any time of day - full of antioxidants, high in fibre, nutrient dense, contain vitamins, great for blood sugar balancing and delicious x

Up walking the dog while the sun was rising today.
Did I want to go out for a walk this morning - no!
Would I have rather sat with a cup of tea - yes.
Did I feel exhilarated, awake and ready to start my day when I got home - absolutely.
Plus I have a very happy 🐾🐾

I’ve not been having enough fruit and veg in the morning so this morning I made this….
Oat based with two portions of fruit, 7.5g fibre and 20g protein.
Recipe:
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup soya milk - choose the milk you love
1 medium egg - replace with a thicker vegan cream/yoghurt or kefir if you don’t eat eggs
Handful blueberries
One nectarine
Mix oats and liquid ingredients first.
Add fruit and mix.
Bake for 20mins in an oven on 180 or 10mins in the air fryer on 160.
Enjoy # # #
PS - huge portion not sure I’m going to be able to eat it all 🙄
