For anyone who needs to see this today 💙

"It's actually okay to talk to others about your struggles."

Those words came from a student after completing our Mental Health & Resilience Programme at Lostock High School in Partnership with The JD Foundation.

That's why we do what we do.

Every Whysup session is designed to create a safe space where young people can hear real stories, ask questions and realise they're not alone.

If just one student leaves feeling more confident to speak up, reach out or support a friend, then those conversations have already made a difference.

Not every sign of addiction is obvious.

Sometimes it starts with small changes.

Someone becomes quieter than usual.

They stop enjoying the things they once loved.

Their mood changes.

They become secretive.

Or they just don't seem like themselves anymore.

Recognising these changes doesn't mean someone is definitely experiencing addiction. But it can be the first step towards starting an important conversation.

We use lived experience to help people understand addiction, reduce stigma and encourage early intervention. Our aim isn't to judge or label people – it's to help individuals, families, schools and workplaces feel more confident recognising when someone might need support.

Take a moment to swipe through these five signs and share this post with someone who might find it helpful.

Because one conversation really can change a life.

"We need to come together as a sector."

That message came from James Wood, Director at Irish Freight Solutions, during our panel discussion at Multimodal 2026.

As conversations around mental health continue to grow across every industry, logistics has an opportunity to move forward together.

Logistics keeps the country moving, but behind every delivery, warehouse and transport operation are people.

Drivers.

Warehouse teams.

Office staff.

Managers.

Business owners.

Supporting wellbeing isn't just about responding when someone is struggling. It's about creating workplaces where conversations happen earlier, people feel supported and looking after each other becomes part of the culture.

Whysup Logistics was created to help make those conversations happen.

A huge thank you to James Wood, Oli Newton and everyone who joined us at Multimodal 2026 for helping start an important discussion.

If your mate is in recovery, show them support.

If your mate is doing well at work, pat them on the back.

If your mate is launching a business or getting a promotion, cheer them on.

If your mate is going through a hard time, check in on them.

And if you choose to do none of the above, ask yourself:

Are you really a mate?

“Keep going.” ❤️

Sometimes it feels like the walls are closing in. Sometimes you find yourself thinking, “Will this ever end?”

In those moments, the turning point can simply be finding the right place and having the courage to ask for help.

That’s exactly what our co-founder, Mark, did in 2013.

Recovery didn’t happen overnight, but asking for help was the first step towards rebuilding his life.

You can read more about Mark’s journey in Survive & Thrive, which he co-authored with Joe Foster, founder of Reebok. Joe Foster

And that’s a wrap.

A big thank you to Kingsway Park for having us.

The Mental Health & Resilience Programme has reached 61 schools and thousands of students in this academic year.

Through engaging lived experience sessions, digital resources for students, and sessions for parents, we’ve loved every minute.

We can’t wait to reach more schools next academic year, with sessions being booked already and planning well under way.

A huge thank you to for your support and making this happen!

There are moments that remind you why lived experience matters.

This week marked Week 5 of our 10-week recovery programme at HMP Kirkham.

What makes this programme even more special is that one of our facilitators, Reece, wasn’t always standing at the front of the room.

He once sat on the other side of it as a prisoner in the very same prison.

Today, he’s back, not as an inmate, but helping others explore topics including addiction and recovery, changing behaviours, mental health, stress and resilience, relationships, identity, values, and preparing for life beyond prison.

At WHYSUP, we believe lived experience has the power to reach people in a way that statistics and textbooks often can’t. It gives people hope, builds trust, and shows that change is possible.

We’re incredibly proud of Reece and excited to continue supporting the men over the next five weeks as they build practical tools, reflect on their journey, and prepare for a brighter future.

Sometimes the most powerful person to lead the way is someone who’s already walked the path. 💙
