A few beautiful days away in a little cottage on the North Yorkshire Moors with my family and our new puppy πΎ
Whitby Abbey, Falling Foss, Saltwick Bay, long walks, fresh air, and lots of time outdoors.
There was no WIFI and barely any phone signal, and you know what? It was wonderful.
Just being present, enjoying the people I am with, the places Iβm seeing, and the nature around me.
Sometimes you just need to be present and switch off from the busyness of life, and give your body, mind and soul the space to reset πππ§π½ββοΈ

Be where your feet are π§π½ββοΈ
Listen to the water.
Feel the earth beneath you.
Breathe with the trees.
Sometimes the nervous system understands nature long before the mind does β¨

One of my little adventures out this week,
I stumbled across the remains of a Roman Bathhouse hidden beneath a pub in York.
Iβve always been fascinated by Roman bathhouses, so this was a lovely surprise to find whilst out exploring York. I never knew there was one was here.
As someone who spends my days supporting peopleβs health and wellbeing, I love seeing how different cultures have approached healing throughout history. The more I learn, the more I realise that many of the principles we value today - heat therapy, cold therapy, movement, massage, rest, and taking time to care for ourselves, all played a part in Roman wellbeing rituals and have stood the test of time. I love discovering little pieces of history like this. They remind me that caring for our health and wellbeing isnβt a new concept- itβs something thatβs been valued throughout history.
And yes they had Roman armour to try on, so it would have been rude not to π€£π‘οΈ

Had a lovely day at Chatsworth Wellbeing Festival with my friend Jo π§π½ββοΈ Jo Goddard Reflexology
We came away feeling inspired after listening to talks on womenβs health, hormones, blood sugar, acupuncture, nutrition, and Traditional Chinese Medicine π
Days like this remind me of how fascinating the human body is, and how there is always something new to learn. And how we can support each other π
We had plenty of giggles too especially when someone walked in to the blood sugar talk with an ice cream and flake π¦π€£

Happy Summer Solstice π
As the sun rises on the longest day of the year, Iβm reminded how much beauty there is in simply being present.
The changing seasons, the warmth of the sun, the quiet of the early morning, and the connection we find in nature.
Sometimes nature says everything, without saying a word. All we need to do is take a moment to appreciate it β¨

How did you fill your cup this weekend? π§π½ββοΈ
Did you find time to rest, reset, or do something that nourishes you?
Maybe it was reading your favourite book, being with family, pottering in your garden, being out in nature, or just simply slowing down.
I went to the coast, which I love and also to give hayfever a break π€§, breathing in the sea air.
Walked miles along the beach, a paddle in the sea, up over the cliffs and back down to the beach in time for sunset.
And a lovely surprise πββ¬ a cat on the sea front Iβve never seen that before π€£ π₯°
After a busy week at work, looking after my lovely clients, this is just what I needed to reset, and nourish my soul ππ§π½ββοΈπππͺ¨
Thereβs something about the sea that just resets everything ππ
