What a week in the media - seems the nail Industry is taking a bit of a bashing!! 💅

First it was the ban of Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide (TPO) used in SOME gel nail products & then a morning TV segment suggesting that reputability and safety are based on the size of a nail salon!! 😤

Whether a business is run by one Nail Tech or has a large team, safety is determined by a number of factors and most definitely not 'size'!

** A little reassurance about the recent “Gel Nail Ban” news 💅**

You may have seen recent reports about a “gel nail ban” in the UK and concerns surrounding Trimethylbenzoyl Diphenylphosphine Oxide (TPO).

We want to reassure our Origins clients that TPO is not contained in the Calgel / Izabelle Hammon products we use at Origins Beauty & Holistic Centre.

The recent UK legislation is not a ban on gel nails or gel manicures themselves. It specifically relates to cosmetic products containing TPO, an ingredient that has been used in some gel polish systems to help them cure under a lamp.

At Origins, we have always believed that beautiful nails should also be healthy, cared for and protected. That is why we are careful about the products we choose and use on your nails.

Your nail health and your peace of mind are incredibly important to us.

So, if you have seen the recent headlines and are worried about your next gel appointment, please don't panic. Your nails are in safe and caring hands at Origins. 💅
