Nose filler isnโt something that gets talked about much for male aesthetic treatments. And I think thatโs a shame, because the results can be just as transformative. If not more so!
This patient had a bump that had always bothered him.
He assumed surgery was his only option. It wasnโt.
One appointment, a little filler placed carefully to smooth and straighten the profile, and just LOOK at that result. ๐

Nose threads: A HARD NO โ
I actually donโt know any medical professionals that do this treatment this as part of a responsible offering in aesthetic services. Whenever I see these extreme transformations, they make me SHUDDER.
This is not a safe treatment. Check out this video and find out why you need to give this treatment a miss. Run - donโt walk - away from anyone offering it!
Aside from the problematic nose procedure in the clip lโve not even started unpacking the proportions of her chin filler... and the fact she has just had a very risky procedure that should be performed with the upmost standards of cleanliness, yet sheโs covered in make up. This is disaster waiting to happen! I feel so sorry for this patient, and Iโm sure she doesnโt understand the risks of what is being done to her. I really do hope she didnโt end up coming to harm ๐ข
Thereโs so much wrong with this and it pains me that weโre in a world where trends take Center stage before safety, ethics and - apparently - common sense.
Please donโt give this madness any airtime - or have this treatment. It literally may be the last thing you do.

TEMPLE FILLER ๐
Itโs one of those treatments that can make the whole face look softer, fresher and less hollow.
BUT... and itโs a big but... this isnโt an area to freestyle. โ ๏ธ
The temple contains important blood vessels, and everyoneโs anatomy is slightly different. Thatโs why I use facial ultrasound before and during treatment. It allows me to see exactly where those structures are so I can inject with far greater precision.
And thereโs good evidence for doing so.
A 2023 study by Lima Faria and colleagues found that when injectors aimed for the interfascial plane in the temple, 89% of injections ended up in the wrong tissue layer unless ultrasound guidance was used.
Thatโs a sobering statistic in one of the faceโs higher-risk areas.
Filler placed in the wrong plane doesnโt just increase the risk of disappointing results. It can also increase the risk of vascular complications, which is something I take incredibly seriously.

Home sweet home โค๏ธ
Thereโs something incredibly special running a race in my home city. And it was like all of that magic sent me flying round the course.
Never did I imagine Iโd get another PB. And never did I think it would be 12 minutes less than my last!
โก๏ธ 3:45:11, bringing it in as 1st in my womenโs age group and 4th female overall! Yasss. Proof that all of the work does pay off (plus a bit of race day magic)
So marathon 6 of 10 is in the bag for this year. Idk who came up with the idea of running 10 in a year, but once I commit, I do not quit.

I think this is the only non-sweaty picture I have of me of the whole day.
At 10km I was very much still into waving and yelling
I was speaking to someone about longevity yesterday. Longevity is not taking a bunch of pills and hoping that they will extend your life.
You want to extend your life? Get experiences. Move your body. Go touch some grass. Get off your ass and eat less crap. I donโt need to sell you expensive pills to make you live longer, all of this stuff is free ๐

I wish they made more of a fanfare out of presenting medals. After 26 miles I honestly think I deserve more fuss.

Every muscle in the face and body exists for a reason. Sometimes we choose to modify that function, which is absolutely fine, but it should be an informed decision, not driven by a TikTok trend.

One of the most interesting things about filler is that it rarely happens overnight. People donโt wake up one morning and suddenly look overfilled.
It usually happens gradually.
A syringe here.
A top-up there.
A little tweak every few months.
And because the changes are happening relatively slowly, the patient doesnโt always notice where a line has been crossed.
