A new chapter for Dermesthetica 🤍

Some of you know I’ve been planning to offer my services at a second location for a while. I spent time getting to know the new space this week, so here’s a little sneak peek 👀

I’m looking forward to welcoming familiar faces and meeting new clients there in October. I’m also planning a few additions to the treatments I offer, which I’ll introduce soon ✨

I’ll share treatment and booking details shortly.

📍 33 Cavendish Square, Marylebone
🗓 Thursdays from 8 October

I’ll continue seeing clients in Hendon throughout the rest of the week.

If I wanted my skin to look healthy 10 years from now, I wouldn’t start with the strongest treatment. I’d start with the basics and think long term. 🤍

Healthy ageing isn’t about trying to stop the ageing process or chasing every line. For me, it’s about supporting the skin as it changes — protecting it, maintaining a healthy skin barrier, using appropriate homecare and introducing professional treatments strategically, according to what the skin actually needs.

Treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling, PRP and skin boosters can all have a place in a long-term skin plan, but they work in different ways and won’t be right for every skin at every stage.

That’s why I always come back to the same principle:

Assess the skin first. Then build the right plan.

Consistency over time will usually matter far more than constantly looking for the next quick fix. 🌿

Healthy skin is built over time — and the best time to support it is now. 🤍

I’m delighted to share that Dermesthetica Skin Clinic has been named Best Clinical Skin Treatment Clinic 2026 – North West London in the GHP Global Excellence Awards. 🤍

I’m especially proud of this recognition because Dermesthetica has always been about more than individual treatments. My focus is on understanding each person’s skin, creating personalised treatment plans and supporting long-term skin health with a clinical, considered approach.

Thank you to every client who has trusted me with their skin, recommended the clinic, left a review or simply supported Dermesthetica along the way. Your trust is something I never take for granted.

I’m very proud to see my little clinic in Hendon receive this recognition, and I’m excited for what comes next. ✨

PRP, microneedling or skin boosters — which one should you actually choose?

They’re often talked about as if they do the same thing.

They don’t.

And that’s where a lot of confusion starts.

Some treatments stimulate.

Some regenerate.

Some hydrate.

And the “best” one depends on what your skin actually needs.

Microneedling is mainly about controlled stimulation.

It can support collagen production, skin repair and improve texture.

It may be a good option when concerns include:

• uneven texture
• enlarged pores
• post-acne marks
• early loss of firmness
• overall skin quality

PRP works differently.

It uses your own blood, rich in platelets and autologous growth factors.

The aim is to support repair, regeneration and tissue quality.

It can be especially useful when the goal is to support the skin’s own regenerative processes.

Skin boosters are different again.

Their main role is usually hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality.

They can be useful when skin feels:

• dehydrated
• crepey
• dull
• less elastic
• in need of better hydration support

So which one is better?

There isn’t one winner.

And stronger doesn’t automatically mean better.

A good treatment plan starts with:

your skin condition,
your sensitivity,
your history,
your concerns,
and your goals.

That’s why I always believe in assessing the skin first.

Then choosing the treatment.

Not the other way around.

I’ve also written a full guide comparing PRP, microneedling and skin boosters in more detail 👉🏻you can read it via the link in my bio.

What if the new luxury isn’t looking “done”…
but having skin that looks healthy, balanced and naturally radiant?

More and more women are looking beyond simply changing facial features.

They’re asking a different question:

How can I improve the quality of my skin?

That might mean working on:

✨ hydration
✨ uneven texture
✨ loss of firmness
✨ pigmentation
✨ barrier health
✨ natural radiance

But healthy skin doesn’t mean perfect skin.

And it definitely doesn’t mean choosing the strongest treatment available.

Sometimes skin needs stimulation.

Sometimes it needs hydration.

Sometimes it needs barrier support.

And sometimes it simply needs time and consistency.

That’s why I believe good skin rejuvenation should start with an assessment - not with a treatment menu.

Microneedling, PRP, skin boosters, resurfacing treatments and professional skincare can all have their place.

But the right choice depends on your skin, your concerns and your goals.

My approach is simple:

Assess first.
Then build the right plan. 🤍

Because natural-looking results should still look like you - just with healthier, better-supported skin.

Dull, dehydrated or congested skin after summer?

The Hydra Renewal Facial can be a great option for a gentle reset 🌺

Combining hydradermabrasion with professional DermaQuest skincare, the treatment is designed to gently refresh, hydrate and support the skin.

The treatment is tailored to your skin on the day, depending on your skin type, sensitivity and current concerns.

In this treatment, I’m using the DermaQuest Mini Pumpkin Mask for an extra resurfacing and brightening boost, but the products and treatment steps can be adjusted to what your skin actually needs.

Ideal for skin that feels:

✨ dull
💧 dehydrated
✨ congested
🌿 tired after summer

Has your pigmentation become more noticeable after summer?

UV exposure can stimulate melanin production, and once a tan begins to fade, darker areas can suddenly stand out more.

Heat may also trigger or worsen melasma in some people.

But pigmentation is not one single condition.

Sun-related pigmentation, post-inflammatory pigmentation and melasma can look similar on the surface but they may need very different approaches.

That’s why I don’t believe in simply reaching for the strongest peel or treatment first.

Before treating pigmentation, I look at things like:

➡️ when it started
➡️ sun exposure
➡️ hormones or medication
➡️ acne or inflammation history
➡️ skin barrier and sensitivity
➡️ current skincare, active ingredients and SPF

The first step is understanding what we are actually treating. From there, we can build a plan around your skin.

If your pigmentation has become more noticeable after summer and you’re not sure where to start, feel free to send me a message or book a skin consultation. 🤍

If you’d like to understand pigmentation in more detail, you can read my guide, Understanding Pigmentation, on the blog ➡️ link in bio.🤍

If your skincare suddenly stopped working in your 40s, there may be a reason.

Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can affect hydration, skin barrier function, collagen, sensitivity, pigmentation and the way your skin responds and recovers.

So if your skin feels drier, more reactive or simply different than it used to, it may be time to look at what has changed - rather than just reaching for stronger products.

I’ve written a more in-depth guide on Hormones, Skin & Menopause if you’d like to understand what’s happening beneath the surface.

📖 Read the full guide ➡️ via the link in my bio.

No one told us our skin could start changing like this in our 40s…

And these changes can begin long before menopause.

As hormone levels begin to fluctuate during perimenopause, you may start noticing changes in your skin that you weren’t expecting.

And it’s not just about more wrinkles or collagen loss.

Hormonal changes can influence your skin barrier, hydration, inflammation, pigmentation, healing — and even your hair.

You may suddenly notice that your skin feels drier, more sensitive, less resilient, or simply that the skincare you’ve always used doesn’t seem to work in quite the same way anymore.

The more we understand why these changes happen, the better equipped we are to support healthy skin through perimenopause, menopause and beyond.

I’ve just published my most comprehensive guide on hormonal skin health, where I explain:

✨ Why your skin can start changing during perimenopause
✨ The science behind collagen loss and skin ageing
✨ How professional treatments and skincare can help
✨ Why a holistic approach matters

📖 Read the full guide via the link 🔗 in my bio.

💬 I’d love to know… what change have you noticed most in your skin since your 40s? 🤍
