Who should wait

SMP is not right if you have had a transplant in the last 12 months on the area we would treat, recent laser on the scalp, retinol in the last 3 months, sunburn, pregnancy, blood-thinning medication, or active scalp disease that has not been cleared.

So, what actually happens in your 2nd SMP session?

After your first session, your scalp has healed and the initial pigment dots have settled. Now we build on that foundation.

Here's what we do in Session 2:
✅ Density Building — We add more pigment dots between the existing ones. This creates the illusion of thicker, fuller hair. Think of it like adding more pixels to an image — the more dots, the more realistic it looks.

✅ Refining the Hairline — We perfect the shape and soften the edges. A natural hairline isn't a straight line — it has subtle irregularities. We mimic that.

✅ Blending & Layering — We vary the pigment shade and dot size to match your natural hair growth pattern. This is what makes SMP look real, not like a tattoo.

✅ Addressing Any Touch-Ups — Sometimes certain areas need a little more attention after the first session. We assess and adjust.

Each session takes 2-4 hours. We use a specialised SMP machine with micro-needles (not tattoo needles) that deposit pigment at a shallow, precise depth in the dermis.
