The answer depends on the technology and how the treatment is performed 👀
With a non-contact method without gel, shaving beforehand may not be necessary — with some treatment protocols, it’s enough to leave a short length of hair for the laser to work effectively.
However, with a contact method using gel, the hair is generally recommended to be shaved beforehand so that the laser energy isn’t absorbed by the length of the hair above the skin’s surface.
And if you’re not sure how to prepare for your treatment specifically, just ask your love epil specialist before your appointment 💌
