๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’œ WHY DOES MY NEWBORN HICCUP SO MUCH?

Newborn hiccups are very common and are usually nothing to worry about.

Their tiny tummies and developing systems, swallowing air during feeds, or feeding too quickly can all trigger hiccups.

You can keep baby upright after feeds, burp gently and feed calmly. Most hiccups simply pass on their own.

๐Ÿ“Œ Save this for later and share with a new parent.

๐Ÿฅถ IS YOUR BABY COLD?

Newborn hands and feet can feel cool even when your baby is warm enough โ€” so they arenโ€™t the best way to judge whether baby is cold.

Instead, check your babyโ€™s chest or back, and look at the whole picture: feeding, alertness, colour and temperature.

When in doubt, check your babyโ€™s temperature and seek advice.

๐Ÿ’œ Save this and share with a new parent.

๐Ÿ’› NEWBORN JAUNDICE โ€” WHAT PARENTS SHOULD KNOW

Seeing your baby look yellow can be worrying, but newborn jaundice is very common.

๐Ÿ’› It happens when bilirubin builds up in the blood.
๐Ÿ’› It often starts on the face and eyes and can move down the body.
๐Ÿ’› Good feeding and regular wet/dirty nappies are important.

But donโ€™t ignore jaundice that is getting worse, appearing very early, or comes with poor feeding, unusual sleepiness, fever, or other concerns.

Save this post and share it with a new parent. ๐Ÿ’œ

๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿพ STOP GUESSING โ€” LEARN YOUR BABYโ€™S HUNGER CUES!

Did you know crying is actually a late sign of hunger?

Your baby may be telling you theyโ€™re hungry much earlier through signs like:
๐Ÿ‘€ Becoming more alert or active
๐Ÿ‘„ Opening their mouth
๐Ÿ‘… Sucking on their hands or fingers
๐Ÿ’‹ Smacking their lips or making little sounds
๐Ÿคฑ๐Ÿพ Turning towards your touch or voice

Responding to these early cues can make feeding calmer and easier for both you and your baby. ๐Ÿ’œ

Save this post so you can come back to it, and share it with a new parent who needs to see it! ๐Ÿค
