Dermaplaning is a popular facial treatment that involves the regulated movement of a steel scalpel blade at a 45-degree angle across the face.

The purpose of the dermaplaning treatment is to remove the very top layer of skin, any vellus hair and the “peach fuzz” that sits on top of the skin. It leaves the client with baby-smooth, hair-free, glowing skin that lasts up to four weeks.

1. You should never do a peel directly after microneedling as the skin will be sensitive and inflamed. This is under no circumstances a combined treatment that can go ahead together. They are two separate treatments and should be performed on a complete different day.

2. If it’s to good to be true then that should be your reason to say no! We often see many facials under priced but please ensure you choose correctly. When paying for a treatment you are paying for the knowledge of your practitioner, products, safety and so much more.

3. Under no circumstance should you receive a facial that contains a dermaroller being used. They cause trauma to the skin and are a huge no when it comes to microneedling.

4. When having a professional facial products being used during your treatment should always be cosmeceutical. Mainstream products do not have the correct ingredients to benefit your skin, cosmeceutical products have active ingredients that pe*****te the deeper layers of your skin. These ingredients can change the way your skin behaves and have a long lasting effect.

5. Aftercare is just as important than the treatment itself. Knowing what to use after your facial is key. This being said there can be risks with certain products being used on the skin after certain treatments and this is why we make it our number one priority to go through an in-depth aftercare with each client as well as follow up with daily check ins.

6. When having Led therapy along with a facial treatment it should not be one purchased from eBay / amazon. This does nothing to the skin whatsoever. It’s more of a relaxation with the lights on but it’s doing nothing. When having this treatment you should be having 𝗗𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘂𝘅, 𝗟𝗘𝗗 𝗰𝘂𝗯𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 (medical grade devices).⁣⁣⁣⁣
