This is what a few months of correct skin prep can do, and it’s exactly why we love starting brides early ✨️

When this bride first came to see us, she wanted her skin looking its very best for the big day and genuinely healthier underneath. So we created a plan for her and gave it the time it needed to work.

A course of SkinPen microneedling with exosomes did the deeper work, stimulating collagen and refining the texture and tone of her skin. Alongside it, a considered AlumierMD routine at home kept everything supported day to day, which is really where a lot of the magic happens. Bit by bit, appointment by appointment, her skin became smoother, brighter and more even.

This is why we always say start early. Give your skin those few months, and it has the chance to properly respond, so you arrive at your wedding glowing and relaxed rather than booking treatments in at the last minute.

If there’s a wedding on the horizon, whether it’s yours, a friend’s, or you’re the mother of the bride or groom, now is the perfect time to begin. Book a consultation, and we’ll build a plan around your skin and your timeline 🤍

There’s much more to our clinic experience than the treatment itself. 🤍

We’ve put so much thought into the little details at The Cosmedic Company, because we want you to feel looked after from the moment you walk through the door.

From the scent when you walk in, to the little touches and the time we allow for every appointment — it’s all intentional.

We wanted to create a space that feels calm, welcoming and private, with a little bit of luxury too. Somewhere you can relax, never feel rushed and enjoy coming to.

Your appointment should feel like a little bit of time for you, something to look forward to, not just another appointment in the diary.

We’re incredibly proud of the space we’ve created — but what we love most is seeing you feel at home in it. 🤍

That reaction in the mirror is the whole reason we do this ✨️

Finding the right injector changes the entire experience. Someone who actually listens to what’s bothering you, explains the why behind every suggestion, and is honest about what will and won’t help. Someone whose goal is never to change your face, just to help you feel like the best version of yourself.

That’s the difference a bit of time and trust makes. No pressure, no upselling, no one-size-fits-all. Just proper care from people who want you walking out feeling more like you, not less.

If you’ve been looking for that kind of clinic, you’re in the right place 🤍

When we think of hair loss, we picture men. But thinning is far more common in women than most people realise, and it’s one of the things they’re least likely to talk about 🤍

Around a third of women will notice real thinning at some point, and it often creeps in so slowly that you second-guess whether it’s even happening. A wider parting, a thinner ponytail, more hair in the brush than there used to be.

Here’s what matters: hair rarely thins for no reason.

Menopause and hormonal changes are common causes, but so are low iron, thyroid issues, stress and the shedding that can follow having a baby. That’s why it’s worth looking into properly rather than hoping it settles. And because an active follicle is far easier to support than a dormant one, getting seen early makes a real difference to what we can do.

Being a nurse and doctor led clinic means we can look at the whole picture, from your health to your scalp, and be honest about what will actually help.

You don’t need to wait until it feels “bad enough.” If it’s been on your mind, book a consultation and let us assess and make a plan together 🤍

Tight, dull, a bit lacklustre in this heat? Before you reach for a richer moisturiser, it’s worth knowing that dry and dehydrated skin aren’t the same thing, and they need different things.

It’s one of the most common mix-ups we see. Dryness is a skin type, to do with a lack of oil. Dehydration is a lack of water, and it can happen to anyone, even oily skin, which is why layering on heavier creams often doesn’t fix it. Hot weather, sun, air conditioning, and travel all pull moisture from the skin faster than usual, so this time of year it’s extremely common!

The good news is dehydrated skin usually responds quickly once you support it the right way, from within and on the surface.

If you’re not sure whether yours is dry, dehydrated or a bit of both, come and ask us and we’ll help you work it out. Send us a message or tap the link in our bio to book directly - we’re here to help 🤎

The risky side of medicine

Most people see the caring side of healthcare, but behind the scenes there are moments that can be unpredictable, frightening and sometimes dangerous.

In this episode, we share some of the risks we’ve faced throughout our careers—from challenging encounters in A&E and working in prisons, to the realities of caring for patients during the COVID pandemic. We also talk about the less obvious risks, including working long shifts while pregnant, standing for hours, and the physical and emotional demands that healthcare professionals quietly accept as part of the job.

These are the stories that rarely make it into the textbooks.

When I trained in medical aesthetics, I knew my career would be very much about skill, safety and technique, but it’s also about so much more.

People rarely sit down and talk only about a line or a bit of volume. They tell you about the divorce, the loss, the year that knocked them flat. You quickly realise you’re not just treating a face, you’re meeting someone at a particular moment in their life, and looking after that side of it matters as much as the treatment itself.

Also, saying no becomes one of your most important skills. Talking someone out of a treatment they don’t need is far harder than saying yes. But the patients who stay with you for years are almost always the ones you were honest with early on.

The longer I do this, the more I’ve noticed it doesn’t make you bolder. It makes you more careful, more honest, and more protective of the people in your chair.

If that’s the kind of care you’ve been looking for, you’re in the right place🤍

Everyone’s after “glowy” skin, but most of what promises it sits on the surface and washes off by morning. Real radiance is built from within, and it lasts a lot longer than anything you apply to the surface.

babyGLOW™️ by Teoxane is one of our loveliest options for exactly that. It’s a skin quality treatment, not filler, so it isn’t about volume or changing your features at all. It’s about giving the skin the ingredients it actually uses to repair and maintain itself, so it looks healthier and brighter over time rather than just for a night out.

It’s a beautiful choice if your skin has started to look a little dull, tired or flat, and you want a fresh, natural glow that comes from genuinely healthier skin.

If this sounds like what you’ve been looking for, come and have a chat and we’ll assess and advise whether it’s right for you 🤍

“Can you just fill these lines around my mouth?” It’s one of the most common things I’m asked, and the answer is usually no, not how you might expect.

Here’s the thing most people don’t realise: the lines around the mouth aren’t all the same problem. Some are caused by lost volume higher up in the cheek, so the skin has less support and starts to fold. Filling the crease directly is often the wrong move, and it’s exactly how a face starts to look heavy. Restore the support where it’s actually gone, and the line softens on its own.

The fine vertical lines on the lips are a different story again. Those are about skin quality, not volume, and they respond well to treatments that improve skin quality, often combined with a technique using a very thin dermal filler to soften the lines.

So the real answer is that it depends entirely on your face. Working out the cause before reaching for a treatment is the whole job, and it’s what protects you from that overfilled look.

If lines around the mouth have been bothering you, book a consultation and let us assess. We’ll always be honest about what will actually help. Send us a message or tap the link in our bio to get started 🤍
