🦃SEXY MR GARY🦃 I WAS NOT EXPECTING TO WITNESS SEXY GARY SO SOON 😂 But today Gaz got his sexy strut on to impress Jingle. And...it worked. She laid down and was like...yep let's go 😂 but let's just say...he didnt really know what he was doing and kinda just sat on her head. Practice makes perfect mate dont you worry! But the fact jingle was accepting of Sexy Gary was a huge step forwards! It means she has accepted him and likes him! Plus sorry but he is only young and already looks this crazy when strutting. Bring on when his Snood and Beard fully grow! He will be so cool looking! Im so excited.
Thanks to Charley Jade Clarke who took these photos cos I left my phone in the office.

🦃 GARY 🦃

If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll know that about a month after Jingle came to us last year, I pre-ordered another turkey from the same farm for this year.

Now, I know there will be people who have feelings about this, so I want to address it honestly. These turkeys are bred and raised for the Christmas market, and yes, they are ultimately intended to be eaten. BUT NOT BY US! Thry are 100% pets here. Whether you agree with turkey farming for Christmas or not is a much bigger debate, and it’s not one we’re going to get into here. It’s a part of the world we live in, and we respect that people have different views.

What we can say is that the farm Gary has come from is absolutely beautiful, with very high welfare standards, and it is very clear that they genuinely care about their animals.

When Jingle came to us last year, she was supposed to be one of those Christmas turkeys — but she obviously wasn’t going to be eaten just part of our family. 😂❤️

We loved having her so much that we made the decision to do it all over again this year… except this time, we wanted a beautiful boy.

So… MEET GARY! 🦃❤️

ISN’T HE GORGEOUS?!

He’s still only a baby and has a LOT of growing to do, but he’s going to be a proper traditional-looking turkey with a big beard, a gorgeous snood and, hopefully, plenty of strutting.

Both Neil and I completely fell in love with turkeys the moment Jingle arrived. They are such incredible, funny, intelligent and massively underrated free-roaming birds, and I honestly couldn’t be happier to give another one the chance to live out his life with us.

After what has been an absolutely s**t few months, getting this little guy has brought me so much joy. ❤️

Now Gary just needs to develop an attitude big enough to compete with Jingle… and honestly, I have a feeling he’ll manage it. 😂

WELCOME TO THE QUACK SHACK, GARY! 🦃❤️

🦆STUMPY🦆 AKA Legolas. So we dont know where stumps came from. We believe someone dumped him here. But he has been here quite a while now, so you will see he has one normal foot and one stumps. The left leg had no webbing and very little toes. Obviously we have no idea how this happened. But he also has a large chip out of his beak. This wouldnt have been a birth defects, this would have been a accident or injury. Which leads me to believe his foot is the same. But ive given him a thorough check over and its totally healed and well...he can run faster than me 🤣 trust me...he put me to the test 🤣 so we think he is here to stay and he is very welcome to be here with our flock of wonders! He copes amazingly well and as long as I keep an eye on him he should be just fine. And now he can have a quiet life without to much worry of more injury ❤️

Billy Boy❤️ i wanted to share a lovely update on our fav beakless wonder Bill. As you can see he is doing super well. He has had a good molt and was showing off all his wing growth. His beak healed up perfectly and it DOES NOT stop him eating and drinking and he can still quack and be a noisy boy!
I get asked alot of he has pain from it, the answer is no. It was all quarterised during surgery snd healed up perfectly. Its nice and smooth and he just has a tiny bit of tongue that pokes out a teeny bit. But he has put on alot of weight and has a huge flock of friends. I adore him. He is super naughty and I find him everywhere he shouldn't be, but his fav spot at the moment is snoozing by the house in the shade with his buddies.

🏡HOME🏡 A few photos of being home with my babies. I will now be home till Saturday not tomorrow. Then I will be back with family for as long as needed. So im taking in all the animals for this week and having some time to reset as its bee a very stressful time.

30/07/2026

So unfortunately I am still going to be closed for any new intake until further notice.

I can only give some details but I have had to fly abroad to be with a family member who has been very poorly. And I need to stay here for a while until things change.

All the animals are being looked after by family. And if you have any emergencies please contact RWR who will assist.

I am sorry. And thank you all for your patience ❤️

22/07/2026

Due to a Family Emergency I will not be able to accept any duck emergencies in until at least the end of next week.
I will unlikely be able to answer messages until then either.

Please contact your local vet, Runham Wildlife Rescue or PACT if emergency animal care is required.

I appreciate your patience and will be back as soon as I can.

🐥CHEDDAR, GREYVY, OREO & BUTTER🐥
Welcome to the family kids.
So Charley Jade Clarke wanted to get me some baby chickens for my birthday. So today we collected Cheds, greyvy and Orea the silkie mixes....but then something happened 🤣 so when I put the duck eggs in the incubator A LONG TIME AGO...and all the ducklings have hatched...there were 2 chicken eggs still in the incubator. I was still checking them everyday but had written them off as fails. Until today 🤣 when I went to get the brooder from the hospital and there...peeping through the lid of the incubator was little Butter 🤣🤣 just staring at me. She wasnt there this morning....but there she was looking at me like...ummm hiii can I come out now 🤣 so where as we were going to have 3 babies...we now have 4...and the other egg?? Yep...who knows!! Your guess is as good as mine. Will it hatch....i have NO IDEA...But these 4 cuties are here to stay!! Even if one was very unexpected 😲
