For all blonde girlies - PLEASE READ!

As we all know, bleaching isn't the best thing for our hair. Even when it's done correctly using lower developer strengths and professional techniques, bleached hair will always require more care than natural or regular coloured hair.
If you want to maintain a beautiful, bright blonde, it's so important to look after your hair between appointments. Hair cannot repair itself once it has been damaged, which is why treatments are essential. They help manage and reduce the effects of bleaching by improving moisture, strength, and overall hair condition.
Investing in the right aftercare routine will help keep your blonde looking healthy, shiny, and feeling its best until your next appointment.🤍

I just want to educate everybody on what the hair actually goes through when it gets bleached so you all can fully understand.

1- the hair cuticle opens- bleach contains an alkaline ingredient that raises open the outer layer of the hair, which is the cuticle.
2- pigment is oxidised- the bleach mixture contains hydrogen peroxide, which penetrates the hair and breaks down melanin, this is the pigment that gives the hair its natural colour.
3- the underlaying tones of the hair will be revealed- as the melanin is removed, the hair will pass through stages of colour which included-
• dark brown/ black - resulting in red lift
• red - resulting in orange lift
• orange - resulting in yellow lift
•yellow - resulting in a pale yellow/ clean lift.

4- hair structure is altered- the bleach does not only effect the pigment of the hair, it also breaks some of the proteins and chemical bonds that give the hair its strength and elasticity, as a result of this bleach hair can become-
• drier
•more porous
•more prone to tangling
• more likely to break or split.

The reason why the treatments are so important in between appointments is-
• they help replace moisture
• they improve the strength of the hair
• they reduce the breakage and split ends
•they smooth the cuticle of the hair
•they help maintain colour
•they make future chemical services safer.

If you're blonde and your hair feels stringy, extremely knotty, dry, rough, frizzy, or just generally unhealthy, this is your sign to invest in those treatments.
Regular trims, a consistent home-care routine, and giving your hair a break from bleach can make all the difference. Focus on strengthening and nourishing your hair before booking another lightening service.
As hairdressers, we can only do so much in the salon. The real maintenance happens at home between appointments. If you don't follow the correct aftercare advice, your hair condition will continue to deteriorate, leading to excessive breakage and, in severe cases, significant hair loss 🙃

Just a little update for all lash infills & hair maintenance clients — please read!

I’ll be having surgery in June and will be out of work from the **23rd June for 3 weeks**. due to this, I strongly recommend getting your appointments booked in before then, especially for eyelash infills, as I physically won’t be able to work during that time.

I’m working through all messages tonight and adding all new bookings into my system, so you should receive confirmation shortly.

If you already have a June appointment booked before the 23rd, don’t worry — your appointment is unaffected. I’ll also be messaging all June clients that are already booked tonight to confirm everything.

What’s included?

This service is completely free. However, you must be happy for me to spend extra time capturing content, and comfortable with your face being included in photos and videos.

Officially a blondie 👱🏻‍♀️

My client started off by having a balayage from a natural level 7 (dark blonde)

We have achieved this bright baby blonde colour in four sittings with a healthy amount of time and treatments in between each appointment 🤍

Today we did a super full head of highlights with baby lights & face framing and a gorgeous creamy vanilla toner.

Always remember reaching this level of blonde which is a level 10 does not happen over night , the health of your hair comes first always !🫶🏻
