🤍 A little personal update…

Some of you may have already noticed, but for those who don’t know yet… I’m having a baby! I am due at the end of November! 🥹🤍

I just wanted to give you all a little heads up that as we get closer to baby arriving, I’ll be cutting my working hours down, so I’ll have less availability than usual.

With Christmas not too far away either (I know 😅), I’m opening my diary up until Christmas now, so if you know you’re going to want an appointment, please get booked in sooner rather than later as spaces are going to be more limited.

I’m so excited for this next chapter with our expanded family and also so grateful to all of you for keeping me so busy and supporting my little business. It really does mean the world 🥹🤍

There are certain treatments in aesthetics where a face-to-face consultation with a prescriber should take place before treatment.

Two important examples are:

💉 Anti-wrinkle treatment
💉 Filler dissolving (Hyaluronidase)

A prescription shouldn’t simply be obtained remotely from a prescriber who may be hundreds of miles away, without that prescriber ever having seen you in person.

Why does this matter?

A face-to-face assessment is a requirement of all regulatory bodies across the GMC, NMC, HCPC and GDC which allows the prescriber to properly assess you, consider your medical history and suitability for treatment, examine the area being treated and make an appropriate prescribing decision.

But it also provides something incredibly important:

Continuity of care.

If a complication occurs, you should know who your prescriber is, how they can be contacted and what arrangements are in place to support you.

When a prescription has been obtained remotely from a prescriber who has never met you and isn’t involved in your treatment, it can leave both the practitioner and, more importantly, the patient in a very difficult position if something goes wrong.

There can also be implications for the practitioner’s professional indemnity insurance if they are working outside the requirements of their policy — so it’s important for practitioners to understand exactly what their insurer requires.

This isn’t about making things difficult or inconvenient.

It’s about patient safety, proper prescribing and making sure there is appropriate clinical responsibility when you need it. 🤍

Here I have used Teoxane UK Official RHA1 to soften her peri oral lines and lip border by adding some hydration and a gentle plump 😍
