𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗡𝘂 𝟭.𝟯𝟴 𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗘𝗟𝗪𝗔

To mark Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen’s Birthday, Master Chris Leong and Master Erik Leong, along with a team of 19 therapists, presented a ceremonial cheque of Nu 1.38 million to SELWA.

Established in 2019 under the patronage of Her Majesty The Gyaltsuen, SELWA is dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities through inclusive education, vocational training, and livelihood support.

The funds were raised through their two-day Tit Tar therapy programme at the Royal Institute of Management, which offered treatment for chronic musculoskeletal and soft tissue conditions.

Master Chris Leong said, “Presenting this contribution on Her Majesty's Birthday is our humble gift, a token of respect for a Queen who truly heals her nation through love.”

He also pledged a personal contribution of USD 10,000 toward future therapy events in Bhutan.

The Masters have committed to returning annually. Master Erik Leong noted he had previously sponsored four Bhutanese participants to train in Kuala Lumpur to build local capacity in traditional Tit Tar techniques.

Peldon from SELWA said, “This contribution is not merely a donation; it is a blessing that will touch lives across the country.”

A press release from the Tit Tar team stated that Her Majesty’s Birthday continues to inspire acts of kindness across Bhutan.

This contribution to SELWA stands as a testament to how healing, generosity, and compassion can come together to create lasting benefit for the people of Bhutan.
