Jalin Mimpi Weekly Recap | May 16th - 24th 2026

Jakarta
On 16 May, our month began with a high energy kitchen session for Cook for Jakarta in Tanah Kusir. With the help of 22 dedicated volunteers, we prepared and distributed 125 wholesome meals to four different homes: Mizan Amanah Cidodol, Mizan Amanah Bintaro, Rumah Yatim Radio Dalam, Griya Yatim Dhuafa Suryo, Mizan Amanah Kesehatan. Seeing the teamwork in the kitchen and the smiles during distribution reminds us that a simple plate of food can carry so much warmth.

On May 24, .indonesia was filled with pure creativity and amazing energy for our Every Bead Counts: Watch Bead Bracelet Charity Workshop with .bymel ! We were blown away by the incredible response 27 passionate creators joined forces with us and Manik by Mel to craft their very own custom watch bracelets.

Bali
On 24 May, our hearts were full after spending a meaningful morning at the Bali Care for Cancer Kids Foundation. Led by Teach for Bali, our volunteer team focused on delivering smiles, creative play, and endless joy to these inspiring young warriors. It is always an honor to walk alongside them, providing an uplifting environment where they can simply enjoy being children and feel the strength of a caring community.

On 24 May, the positive energy in Bali was twice as powerful. We started the day strong with Cook for Bali, coming together at Jiwa Garden to chop, cook, and pack fresh meals for the local community. The momentum didn’t stop there it carried right into the Sunya Giri Orphanage for a vibrant Teach for Bali session. Through interactive mentorship, our volunteers spent the afternoon empowering the bright students at Sunya Giri to think outside the box and dream big.

From the vibrant heart of Jakarta to the serene corners of Denpasar, this week reminded us that consistency is what keeps our mission alive. Whether we are sharing a warm meal or an inspiring story, every deliberate action writes a larger story of hope. 💛

On 2 May, our month began with a high-energy kitchen session for Cook for Jakarta in Tanah Kusir. Bali
On 9 May, we spent a meaningful morning at the Bali Care for Cancer Kids Foundation. Through Teach for Bali, our volunteers focused on bringing joy and a sense of play to these young warriors. It’s always an honor to be part of their journey, providing a space where they can simply be kids and feel the support of a community that cares.
On 10 May, the energy in Bali was doubled. Our day started with Cook for Bali, where we gathered at Jiwa Garden to prep fresh meals for our neighbors. The spirit of service then carried over to the Sunya Giri Orphanage for another Teach for Bali session. From mentorship to creative learning, our volunteers spent the afternoon encouraging the bright students at Sunya Giri to explore new ideas and dream big.

From the busy streets of Jakarta to the quiet corners of Denpasar, this week was a beautiful reminder that consistency is the heartbeat of our work. Whether we are stirring a pot or sharing a story, every action contributes to a larger story of care. 💛

Jalin Mimpi Weekly Recap | 18–26 April 2026

Jakarta

On 25 April, we gathered at Merame Cafe for a special charity workshop: Frosting for Impact in collaboration with .cakery. The afternoon was filled with the art of vintage cake decorating, where every swirl of frosting carried a deeper purpose. Beyond the 12cm cakes and polished finishes, the proceeds from this session directly fueled our social initiatives. It was a beautiful reminder that creativity can be a powerful tool for giving back.

On 26 April, the spirit of service continued in the kitchen for Cook for Jakarta. Our dedicated team prepared and distributed wholesome meals, ensuring our community feels the warmth of a shared plate. There is a unique rhythm to a kitchen driven by compassion, and we are so grateful to everyone who lent a hand.

Bali

On 18 April, our week began with the incredible children at the Bali Cancer Kids Foundation with . Through Teach for Bali, our volunteers spent the day fostering joy and resilience. These sessions aren’t just about teaching; they’re about building a support system that reminds these young warriors they aren’t alone.

On 25 April, we returned to the Bali Cancer Kids Foundation for another heart-filling Teach for Bali session with Consistency is key to our mission, and seeing the familiar faces of the children and their families makes every effort worthwhile.

On 26 April, we spent our Sunday at Sunya Giri Orphanage. Our Teach for Bali team engaged with the students in creative learning, focusing on mentorship and building the confidence these bright minds need to chase their dreams.

From the cozy corners of Merame Cafe to the orphanages of Denpasar, this week was a testament to the impact we can make when we come together. Your time, your creativity, and your heart are what turn these moments into lasting change. 💛

Jalin Mimpi Weekly Recap | 4–12 April 2026

Jakarta
On 4 April, the heartbeat of Cook for Jakarta returned in collaboration with . A dedicated team of 21 volunteers prepared and distributed 125 nutritious meals to children in the Pondok Pinang area. It was a day of beautiful new connections we even welcomed volunteers who had just moved to the city and found their first Jakarta “family” through service.

On 5 April, we joined the Pass It On Bazaar x .id for a day overflowing with love. From a kindness runway show to an animal show, the focus remained on the children. Through the sale of TisikAsa merchandise, profits were channeled directly to the Jalin Mimpi Scholarship program. We were honored to host a booth and introduce our mission to so many new faces.

On 11 April, we returned to the Penjaringan toll road for Teach for Jakarta x . With a massive energy brought by 20 volunteers and 8 PICs, we sat down with 90 children to explore the topic of Empathy. In a world that moves fast, teaching the next generation to see and feel for one another is a lesson that truly lasts.

Bali
On 12 April, our Sunday was dedicated to nourishment and mentorship. Cook for Bali spent the morning preparing meals with heart, ensuring our community remains supported and cared for.

In the afternoon, Teach for Bali visited Sunya Giri Orphanage. With 5 volunteers and 11 students, we continued our journey of creative learning. These small, consistent sessions are where real trust and growth are built.

Thank you to every volunteer and partner who turned their time into an investment for others. From the highway pillars of North Jakarta to the orphanages of Denpasar, your presence is what turns compassion into community. 💛
