Stop making healthy food feel like a punishment. 🍎
Especially when it could taste like the middle of an apple crumble. 😉
These warm spiced apples are autumn in a saucepan: soft, juicy apples, cinnamon, nutmeg and a little ginger. Simple ingredients.
Very little effort. Excellent smug-kitchen smell.
Make a batch, pop it in the fridge and suddenly breakfast—or that “I fancy something sweet” moment—gets far more interesting.
We’d spoon them over:
🍎 Porridge for a cosy breakfast
🍎 Coconut or almond yoghurt
🍎 Pancakes for a lazy weekend brunch
🍎 Or enjoy them warm with chopped walnuts
Comfort food can be proper food. And proper food can taste fabulous.
Comment APPLE and we’ll send you the recipe.
How would you use yours—porridge, yoghurt, pancakes… or straight from the pan? 👇
You’ve got this! We’ve got you🫶

Your next food shop has one job: stop the 5pm “what’s for dinner?” stare. 🛒
Try the 5–4–3–2–1 trolley:
🥦 5 vegetables
🍓 4 fruits
🥚 3 protein foods
🥔 2 starchy carbs
🍫 1 snack or treat you actually fancy
It’s a shopping prompt, not a rule for how much you’re allowed to eat. Adjust the quantities to suit your household and the week ahead.
Trolley idea 1: The easy week
5 veg: peppers, broccoli, carrots, spinach, tomatoes
4 fruit: apples, bananas, berries, oranges
3 proteins: eggs, chicken, chickpeas
2 starchy carbs: potatoes, rice
1 treat: dark chocolate
That’s chicken, pepper and rice bowls; chickpea and tomato curry; baked potatoes with eggs and spinach; and leftover veg turned into a very respectable fridge-clear-out lunch.
Trolley idea 2: The mostly plant-based week
5 veg: courgettes, mushrooms, onions, kale, cherry tomatoes
4 fruit: pears, grapes, kiwis, frozen mango
3 proteins: lentils, tofu, eggs
2 starchy carbs: sweet potatoes, oats
1 treat: your favourite biscuits
Make lentil and mushroom bolognese over baked sweet potatoes, a tofu and veg traybake, kale and tomato omelettes, and mango overnight oats.
Use what’s already in your cupboard—oil, herbs, spices, garlic—and swap anything you don’t like. Because a clever trolley is one you’ll actually cook from. 😄
What’s the one treat going in yours? Tell us below 👇 Save this for your next shop and send it to the friend who always comes home with six sauces and no dinner.

My wardrobe has three sections…
Summer. Winter. And an entire department dedicated to “when I lose the weight.” 😂
The jeans that nearly fasten.
The dress that will look lovely eventually.
The top bought in the sale because “it’ll motivate me.” And that one outfit waiting for a completely different version of us to arrive.
Sound familiar?
Here’s the uncomfortable truth: your clothes should fit your body. Your body should not have to earn the right to fit your clothes.
Keeping a wardrobe full of things that don’t fit can turn getting dressed into a daily reminder that you’re somehow not quite good enough yet.
But your life isn’t on hold until you reach a number on the scales.
You deserve clothes that fit comfortably now. You deserve to feel good now. You deserve to stop treating your current body like a temporary inconvenience.
Wanting to improve your health is absolutely fine. But real, lasting change doesn’t come from shame, punishment or staring accusingly at a pair of size-12 jeans every morning.
It comes from nourishing your body, understanding what it needs and making choices you can actually live with.
So wear the lovely dress. Buy the jeans that fit. Stop saving your confidence for “when”.
And if half your wardrobe is currently running a long-term witness protection programme… you’re among friends. 😂
Which section of your wardrobe is the biggest: summer, winter or “when”?

Cold, boring breakfasts could be fuelling your 11am snack hunt. 🥶
If breakfast leaves you hungry, chilly and thinking about biscuits before the kettle has boiled again… try something warmer.
Our Pear & Ginger Porridge is creamy, gently spiced and properly satisfying—the sort of breakfast that feels like a hug but still gets the job done.
🍐 Pear adds natural sweetness and fibre
🔥 Fresh ginger and cinnamon bring warmth and flavour
🥣 Oats provide slow-release carbohydrates for lasting energy
🌱 Flax, h**p and pumpkin seeds add fibre, healthy fats and plant protein
💚 A balanced bowl can help keep you fuller and curb mid-morning cravings
From a traditional Ayurvedic food perspective, warm cooked foods and stimulating spices such as ginger and cinnamon are also used to support digestion and help counter feelings associated with dampness, heaviness and stagnation.
It’s warming.
It’s filling.
It tastes like autumn.
And it doesn’t require a mysterious powder with a monthly subscription. 😂

The last salad of summer… make it a good one. 🍑🥗
Because we’re nearly at that time of year when lunch stops being crisp and leafy—and starts arriving in a bowl with steam coming off it. 😂
So, before we fully surrender to soups, stews and all the glorious slow-cooked things, we’re giving summer one final send-off with this gorgeous peach and walnut salad.
Sweet, juicy peaches. Crunchy walnuts. Plenty of colourful leaves. And a dressing that pulls the whole thing together.
It’s fresh, filling and full of different flavours and textures—because a salad should feel like a proper meal, not a punishment for eating chips at the weekend.
Make it for lunch, serve it alongside dinner or bring it to the final barbecue of the year… weather permitting, obviously. ☔️
Then we’re officially moving on to bubbling pots, chunky jumpers and asking, “Could this go in the slow cooker?”
Comment PEACH and we’ll send you the full recipe.
Save it for one last taste of summer—and tag the friend who refuses to accept that salad season is nearly over.

Bone broth and stock are not the same thing… despite both looking like brown water. 😂
They may sit beside each other on the shelf—and both can transform a meal—but they’re generally made for slightly different jobs.
🍲 Stock is your flavour hero. Use it to add depth to soups, stews, sauces, gravies and everyday cooking.
🦴 Bone broth is usually simmered for longer and may contain more protein and collagen-derived amino acids. It can be used in cooking or enjoyed warm as a nourishing drink.
But—and this matters—not every carton with bone broth written on the front is automatically wonderful.
Turn it around and check:
✅ How much protein does it contain?
✅ Are bones clearly listed?
✅ Is the ingredient list short and recognisable?
✅ Is it free from unnecessary sugar and additives?
✅ How much salt is in one serving?
Bone broth can be a useful source of protein and amino acids, but it isn’t a magic potion that will instantly erase wrinkles, rebuild every joint and sort your entire digestive system before lunch. If only. 😂
Your body also needs vitamin C, zinc, copper and enough overall protein to make and maintain its own collagen—so the rest of your diet still matters.
The no-nonsense answer?
Choose stock for flavour. Choose a quality bone broth for extra nourishment and protein. Make your own when you can. And always read the actual label—not just the claims on the front.
Different purpose.
Different benefits.
Both can have a place.
Swipe through for the simple breakdown, then tell us: stock, bone broth or homemade?
Save this for your next supermarket trip—and send it to the friend currently paying a small fortune for fashionable gravy. 😏

Your 9pm cravings may have started at breakfast… 👀
Ever find yourself rummaging through the cupboards at night, convinced you need something sweet, salty—or preferably both?
It might not be a lack of willpower.
What you eat—and don’t eat—earlier in the day can have a huge impact on how hungry and snacky you feel at night.
Perhaps your day looked like this:
☕ Breakfast was mostly coffee
🥐 Lunch was rushed, light or skipped
🍪 You left long gaps between meals
🥗 Your meals lacked protein, fibre or healthy fats
🍽️ You ate very little because you were trying to “be good”
Then 9pm arrives…and your body wants paying back. 😂
When you’re tired, stressed and running on empty, your brain doesn’t usually request a beautifully balanced salad. It wants quick energy—and the biscuits are right there.
The answer isn’t banning evening snacks or finding more willpower. It’s looking at the whole day:
✅ Eat a proper, balanced breakfast
✅ Include protein, fibre and healthy fats
✅ Avoid leaving enormous gaps between meals
✅ Eat enough during the day
✅ Notice whether hunger, tiredness, stress or habit is driving the craving
Your nighttime cravings don’t happen in isolation.
They may be the result of what happened at 8am, 1pm…and everything in between.
So before blaming yourself for having “no willpower”, ask:
Have I actually fuelled my body properly today?
Save this for the next time the kitchen starts calling after dinner. 😂
And tag the friend who is “absolutely fine all day”…then turns into a snack detective at night.

Turns out, timing really is everything… even in a saucepan. 😂
Ever thrown everything into the pot, turned up the heat and hoped for the best?
Same. But when food goes into the water can make the difference between:
🥔 Potatoes cooked evenly—or soft outside and solid in the middle
🍝 Pasta with a proper bite—or something resembling wallpaper paste
🥦 Bright, crisp vegetables—or sad, soggy greenery
🥚 Eggs that stay intact—or crack before breakfast has even begun
A simple rule of thumb:
💧 Start in cold water: potatoes, eggs and dried pulses
🔥 Add to boiling water: pasta, most rice, sweetcorn and vegetables
🥬 Leafy greens: boiling water—but only briefly
🧂 Salt: once the water is boiling, before adding your food
These little cooking details might seem insignificant, but they protect flavour, colour, texture—and often the nutrients too.
No expensive gadgets. No chef qualifications. Just knowing what goes into the pot… and when.
Save this before your next “it’ll probably be grand” cooking moment. 😂
And tag the friend whose vegetables are always just a little too soft…

DAY 7 — you’ve done the Reset. Now please don’t “finish” it. 😉🌿
Seven days of our September Reset and hopefully you’ve realised something really important:
Eating well doesn’t need to be a project.
You don’t need to detox. You don’t need to live on salads. You don’t need to count every mouthful. And you definitely don’t need to start another diet on Monday.
What you can do is keep the bits that worked. ❤️
🥦 Keep adding vegetables to your meals 🌈 Keep eating plenty of colour and variety 💪 Keep building satisfying meals 🍓 Keep choosing real food more often 🍋 Keep cooking simply and making food taste GOOD 🥑 And keep adapting it to fit your actual life
Because Day 7 isn’t the finish line.
This week was about giving you a really good foundation — showing you what a week of simple, varied, nourishing food can actually look like.
But this is where Breaking Fads goes a step further.
We don’t believe every woman should eat exactly the same way.
Nikki, Kate, Maya, Lilly and Jess have different Bodytype needs — and understanding yours can help you tailor those good foundations to your body, your appetite and your lifestyle.
So carry on using these recipes. Repeat your favourites. Mix the days up. Make them your own.
And if you’re ready to move from “healthy eating” to eating specifically for YOUR Bodytype, come and have a look at our Breaking Fads programme. 🍉
👉 Follow for more practical, no-nonsense nutrition and recipes. 👉 Comment RESET if you still need the full 7-day plan. 👉 Take the Bodytype quiz and find out which of our five women is most like you.
The Reset might be finished. Your good habits don’t have to be. ❤️

Caption day 6
DAY 6 — notice what we haven’t asked you to do this week… 👀
No calorie counting. No weighing yourself every morning. No cutting out entire food groups. No shakes, bars or “diet” products. And no going hungry. 🙌
Instead, our September Reset has been about putting MORE of the good stuff back in.
🥦 More vegetables 🌈 More colour and variety 🌿 More fibre 💪 Good sources of protein 🥑 Healthy fats 🍋 Fresh ingredients and loads of flavour
And hopefully by Day 6 you’re beginning to realise…
Eating well really doesn’t need to be that complicated.
For nearly 20 years, we’ve worked with women trying to undo years of confusing diet advice — eat this, avoid that, count this, weigh that, start Monday.
We’d rather bring it back to basics.
Eat proper food. Eat plenty of plants. Make meals satisfying. And make it fit YOUR life.
Because you don’t need seven perfect days to change your health or your weight.
You need habits that are simple enough to still be doing when nobody is calling it a Reset anymore. ❤️
And once those foundations are in place, you can start getting more specific about what works for your Bodytype — which is why you’ll see our Nikki, Kate, Maya, Lilly & Jess tweaks throughout the recipes.
Tomorrow is DAY 7 🎉 — but it’s definitely not the end.
👉 Save your favourite recipes 👉 Follow for Day 7 tomorrow 👉 Comment RESET to get the complete 7-day plan
Not sexy. Not complicated. Just proper food that works. 🍉🌿
