*Born*: In 1911, in a small village in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
*Occupation*: Worked in a factory in Leningrad.
*Husband*: Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin - Was a Navy Soldier.
*Life Story*:
Maria and her husband had 3 sons. The first 2 died in infancy. Vladimir was their 3rd child. During the war, the days were very difficult.
Putin himself once said - "My mother was a very strong person. Suffered a lot in life, but never complained."
He died on 6 July 1998 at the age of 86. Putin buried his father next to his mother's grave in St. Petersburg.
