The 80th Independence Day Celebration was organized at the Global Institute of Ayurveda & Global Ayurveda Hospital, Rajkot, on 15 August 2026 (Saturday) from 8:30 AM onwards at the kGIA Entrance under the NSS Unit.

The programme commenced with the flag hoisting ceremony by Vd. Mehul Joshi, Campus Director followed by a respectful rendition of patriotic sentiments and a celebration of the spirit of freedom and national pride. The gathering of faculty members, staff and students created an enthusiastic and patriotic atmosphere.

Following the flag hoisting, Vd. Shreyas Bhalodia, Principal & Hospital Superintendent delivered the address, inspiring everyone to uphold the values of responsibility, unity and dedication towards the nation. Vd. Vijay Telang, Vice Principal, delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of patriotism, discipline, education and contributing positively to society. The programme was further enriched by a patriotic song and speech presented by the 1st-year students showcasing their enthusiasm and talent.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Vd. Prakash Kale, who expressed gratitude to the management, dignitaries, faculty members, staff and students for their presence and contribution towards making the Independence Day celebration meaningful and memorable. The programme concluded on a note of patriotism, unity, responsibility and pride in the nation

The Nasha Mukti Abhiyan cm Pre-Raksha Bandhan Celebration was organized by the NSS Unit of Global Institute of Ayurveda (GIA), Rajkot, in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris – Happy Village, Rajkot, on 11 August 2026 (Tuesday), from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the GIA Auditorium.

The programme was conducted for the benefit of students, faculty members, staff and participants of the institute, with the objective of creating awareness about the harmful effects of addiction and promoting a healthy, disciplined and addiction-free lifestyle.

BK Avani Didi delivered an enlightening lecture on Nasha Mukti, highlighting the importance of self-control, positive thinking, inner strength and conscious lifestyle choices for overcoming and preventing addictions. She also administered the Nasha Mukti Pledge, in which participants collectively committed themselves to remain free from addictions and to contribute towards protecting their families and society from the harmful effects of addictive habits.

The programme also included a meaningful Pre-Raksha Bandhan Celebration, in which BK Pushpa Didi tied Rakhis and presented Blessings Cards to the participants. The ceremony conveyed the deeper message of Raksha Bandhan as a commitment towards self-protection, healthy living and protection from harmful habits. The combined efforts of the NSS Unit, GIA and Brahma Kumaris – Happy Village made the event meaningful, inspiring and socially relevant, with the message of “Say No to Addiction, Choose Health, Choose Life.”

Guest Lecture Serise on Nidana & Nidana Parivarjana (Part 1)

We are pleased to share highlights from an insightful guest lecture on “Nidana and Nidana Parivarjana” delivered by our esteemed Guest Speaker Vd. Vishnu Joglekar, Professor and HoD ,Agadatantra Department ,Shri B G Garaiya Ayurveda College.

The session emphasized the significance of understanding Nidana(Causative factors) and Nidana Parivarjana( their avoidance) as a fundamental principle in the prevention and management of diseases in Ayurveda.

We sincerely express our gratitude to our Guest Speaker Vd. Vishnu Joglekar for sharing their expertise and for inspiring our students through this enriching session.

A new emerging science that makes us believe the results, Medical astrology can be considered as a part of Ayurveda which can be included in Graha vigyan of Ashtang Ayurveda.
To make familiar about the science and expert seminar was organised on medical astrology by an renowned Astrologer on 30/07/2026 and on 5/08/2026, who explained about the knowledge of astrology and it's application into ayurveda science in treating diseases and other health conditions.

Institutional Seminar 2026/25

We are pleased to share a glimpse of an engaging and informative lecture delivered by our esteemed faculty member Vd. Bhavin Chavda; Assistant Professor ,Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana on Role of Dola Yantra and Khalva Yantra in Ayurvediya Aushadhi Nirmana

The session focused on enhancing students’ conceptual understanding, practical knowledge, and academic skills, with valuable interaction between the faculty and students.

Such academic sessions play an important role in bridging theoretical concepts with practical application and fostering a culture of learning and knowledge sharing.

WORLD BREAST FEEDING WEEK 2026 AWARENESS PROGRAMME

As part of World Breastfeeding Week, the Department of Prasuti Ta**ra and Kaumarbhritya, Global Ayurveda Medical College, organized an awareness session for pregnant women and lactating mothers at PHC Gadhka.

29 students from third professional BAMS batch , accompanied by Vd. Anjana A. Asst.Professor,Prasuti Ta**ra StreeRoga and Vd. Chandani Aghara Asst.Professor, Kaumarbhritya actively participated in this outreach initiative.

The session covered:

✅ Introduction to World Breastfeeding Week
✅ Benefits of breastfeeding for mother and child
✅ Correct lactation positions and techniques
✅ Ayurvedic and dietary foods that promote breast milk production
✅ Guidance on formula feeding

The initiative aimed to empower mothers with the right knowledge and encourage healthy breastfeeding practices in the community, reflecting our commitment to community health and Ayurvedic wisdom.

Institutional Seminar: 2026/24

The Department of Swasthvritta and Yoga, Global Institute of Ayurveda, successfully organized an institutional seminar on "A Few Minutes Can Improve Your Health".

The seminar was presented by 2nd BAMS students, highlighting how a few minutes of daily yoga, meditation, and healthy lifestyle practices can reduce stress, improve heart health, boost immunity, enhance mental clarity, increase energy, and promote better sleep.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members, creating awareness about adopting simple daily habits for a healthier life.

With immense devotion and gratitude, Global Institute of Ayurveda & Global Ayurveda Hospital, Rajkot celebrated auspicious Guru Purnima 2026 on 29th July 2026 (Wednesday) at the GIA College Campus.

The day began with the auspicious Agnihotra Havan, Guru Poojan, and Samhita Poojan (from 9:00-11:00 am) where students, faculty, and staff came together to express their reverence for the Guru-Shishya tradition and seek the blessings of their teachers.

The celebration continued with the Students & Faculty Development Program (SFDP) from 2:00-4:00 pm featuring welcome speech by Vd.Mehul joshi sir and an inspiring guest lecture on: "Naad Se Anunaad – The Vedic Science of Sound Healing"
Vedic Way to Treat Disease through Daivavyapashraya Chikitsa.We were honored to welcome our esteemed speakers:
Vd. Milan Bhatt and Ms. Hetal Bhatt

The session offered valuable insights into the significance of Naad Chikitsa and the healing power of Vedic sound, leaving participants inspired with a deeper understanding of Ayurveda's holistic principles.

Institutional Seminar 2026/23

"Ancient Recipes with Modern Modification"

On 23rd July 2026, the Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga, Global Institute of Ayurveda, successfully organized Global Sambhasha – An Institutional Seminar from 3:15 PM to 4:00 PM in the college auditorium.

The seminar was based on the theme "Ancient Recipes with Modern Modification" and was performed by 14 students of Second BAMS (2024–2025 Batch). The programme aimed to promote the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition by demonstrating how traditional Pathya Kalpana can be adapted into modern, healthy, and appealing recipes suitable for contemporary lifestyles.

As part of the seminar, the students prepared six different Pathya Kalpana dishes using Ayurvedic principles and wholesome ingredients. Each group presented their recipe by explaining its ingredients, method of preparation, therapeutic benefits, indications, and nutritional significance from both Ayurvedic and modern perspectives. The presentations highlighted the relevance of traditional dietary wisdom in the prevention of lifestyle disorders and the promotion of holistic health.

Following the presentations, all the prepared dishes were served to the teaching staff for tasting and appreciation. The innovative recipes received positive feedback for their creativity, nutritional value, and practical applicability in daily life.

The seminar was coordinated by Vd. Snehal Patel and Vd. Shyam Maru under the Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga. The programme was attended by all undergraduate students, interns, faculty members, and teaching staff, making it an interactive and enriching academic event.

At the conclusion of the seminar, Principal Vd. Shreyas Bhalodia and Vice Principal Vd. Vijay Telang addressed the gathering and appreciated the students for their creativity, presentation skills, and practical application of Ayurvedic dietary principles. They encouraged students to continue exploring innovative approaches to promote Ayurveda in a modern context while preserving its classical essence.

The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to all the participants, faculty members, and attendees for making the programme a great success.
