Patient can open reasonable amount of mouth after the surgery. तंबाकू के कारण मुंह की त्वचा बदल जाती है। इसी कारण व्यक्ति मुंह नहीं खोल पा रहा है। यह तस्वीर उस मरीज की सर्जरी के बाद है जो मुंह खोलने में सक्षम नहीं था और त्वचा को बिना दाग के बदल दिया गया था। यह सबम्यूकोस फाइब्रोसिस के रूप में जाना जाता है। रोगी सर्जरी के बाद उचित मात्रा में मुंह खोल सकता है। તમાકુને કારણે મોંની ત્વચા બદલાઈ જાય છે. આથી જ વ્યક્તિ મોં ખોલી શકતા નથી. આ ચિત્ર દર્દીની શસ્ત્રક્રિયા પછીનું છે જે મોં ખોલી શકતા ન હતા અને ત્વચાને ડાઘ વિના બદલવામાં આવી હતી. આ સબમ્યુકસ ફાઇબ્રોસિસ તરીકે ઓળખાય છે. દર્દી શસ્ત્રક્રિયા પછી મોંની વાજબી માત્રા ખોલી શકે છે.
