Hello Amazing Pregnant Moms:πŸ’•

🚨 3 SIGNS YOUR LABOUR MAY BE THE REAL THING πŸ‘€

How do you know when those contractions are more than just practice?

Here are 3 important signs to watch for:πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

🀍 1. Contractions become regular and stronger
True labour contractions usually develop a pattern and become more intense and closer together over time.

🀍 2. They continue despite changing position or resting
Unlike some practice contractions, true labour contractions generally continue and progress.

🀍 3. Other signs may appear
You may notice increased pelvic pressure, a bloody show, or your waters breaking. Not every woman will experience all of these signs.

⚠️ Remember: Labour can look different from one woman to another. If you are unsure whether you are in labour, contact your maternity provider or maternity unit for guidance.

πŸ’¬ Would you know the difference between practice contractions and true labour?

Dear Expecting Moms πŸ’•

πŸ’§ YOUR WATER BROKE… BUT NO CONTRACTIONS? 😳

It can be surprisingβ€”and sometimes frighteningβ€”when your waters break before labour pains begin.

Here are a few important things to remember: πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

🀍 Stay calm and note the time your waters broke.

🀍 Pay attention to the colour and amount of fluid.

🀍 Use a maternity pad rather than inserting anything into the va**na.

🀍 Contact your maternity provider or maternity unit for guidance, even if contractions haven't started.

🚨 Seek urgent assessment if the fluid is green or brown, you have significant bleeding, feel unwell, or notice reduced baby movements.

Every pregnancy is different, and your maternity team can advise you based on your individual situation.

Would you know what to do if your waters broke before contractions?

πŸ’• Dear Pregnant Mamas:

PUSH VS SHOUT DURING LABOUR πŸ‘€

There’s a BIG Difference Between Pushing and Shouting During Labour! πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

When labour becomes intense, it is completely understandable to vocalize. You may moan, groan, breathe loudly, or even cry out. You are not doing anything wrong. 🀍

But when it is time to push, the goal is not simply to shout.

πŸ‘Ά PUSHING is using your abdominal and pelvic muscles together with the uterine contractions to help your baby move down and be born.

πŸ—£οΈ SHOUTING is vocalizing because of pain, fear, or intensity. It can happen naturally during labour, but shouting alone does not push the baby out.

During the second stage of labour, your midwife or healthcare provider can guide you on when and how to push based on your individual situation.

πŸ’• Remember: You don't have to be silent during labour. Your voice is part of your experience. Focus on breathing, staying supported, and working with your body and your birth team.

πŸ’Ύ SAVE this reel so you can remember the difference when preparing for birth.

πŸ’• Dear Amazing Expectant Moms: These valuable informations are for You! Take note of them πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

πŸ‘Ά Induction, Epidural & Natural Birth: Understanding Your Options πŸ‘‡

Every pregnancy and every birth is unique. There is no one "perfect" way to give birthβ€”the best choice is the one that keeps both you and your baby safe.

🌸 Natural Birth: Labour begins and progresses without pain medication. Many mothers appreciate being able to move freely and recover quickly, though the experience varies from person to person.

πŸ’‰ Induction: Your healthcare provider may recommend inducing labour if continuing the pregnancy could pose risks to you or your baby. Induction is a medical decision based on your individual circumstances.

πŸ’™ Epidural: An epidural can provide effective pain relief during labour. While many women have positive experiences with it, like any medical procedure, it has benefits and potential risks that should be discussed with your healthcare provider.

The most important goal is a healthy mother and a healthy babyβ€”not how labour begins or how pain is managed.

πŸ’• To every expecting mama, may your birth experience be safe, peaceful, and filled with strength. Trust your healthcare team, ask questions, and make informed decisions that are right for you and your baby.

πŸ‘Ά 5 Signs Your Baby Is Ready to Latch On for Breastfeeding: πŸ‘€πŸ‘‡

Learning your baby's early feeding cues can make breastfeeding easier and more comfortable for both of you. Feeding your baby before they become very upset or cry often leads to a better latch.

Here are five signs your baby is ready to breastfeed:

🀱 Turning their head toward the breast (rooting reflex)

🀱 Opening their mouth wide

🀱 Bringing their hands to their mouth

🀱 Making sucking movements or smacking their lips

🀱 Becoming alert and active before crying

Crying is usually a late hunger cue. Watching for these early signs can help you respond before your baby becomes distressed.

Every baby is unique, and learning these cues takes time. Be patient with yourselfβ€”you and your baby are learning together. πŸ’•
