The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) released the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) results on December 11, 2025, using a new point-based system that moves away from traditional numerical scores and national ranking.
The New KJSEA Point System
The new system evaluates learners based on competency reports across four performance bands, further divided into an eight-point achievement level (AL) scale. This system aims to focus on individual growth and readiness for senior secondary pathways rather than competition.
The grading structure is as follows:
Exceeding Expectations (EE1/AL 8, EE2/AL 7): 7 points for 75-89%, 8 points for 90-100%
Meeting Expectations (ME1/AL 6, ME2/AL 5): 5 points for 41-57%, 6 points for 58-74%
Approaching Expectations (AE1/AL 4, AE2/AL 3): 3 points for 21-30%, 4 points for 31-40%
Below Expectations (BE1/AL 2, BE2/AL 1): 1 point for 1-10%, 2 points for 11-20%
Senior School Placement
Placement into senior secondary schools (Grade 10) is determined by a combined score:
60% from the final KJSEA summative assessment.
20% from school-based assessments (SBA) conducted in Grades 7 and 8.
20% from the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) at Grade 6.
Based on these combined results, learners are guided into one of three senior school pathways: Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); Social Sciences; or Arts and Sports Science.
Accessing Results
Learners and parents can check the results through the official KNEC online portal using the learner's assessment number and one name. Results can also be accessed via SMS by sending the assessment number to 22263. School heads can download school-wide reports from the KNEC CBA portal.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! BEWARE!
Here are some online illegitimate online businesses made to extort your money and time especially to students who struggle to earn money
They include Statehela and smarthela!!!
What Statehela claims
Statehela presents itself as an online platform that provides multiple opportunities to earn money from home through simple tasks. This includes activities such as:
>>Watching videos on TikTok and YouTube
>>Clicking on advertisements
>>Blogging
>>Answering trivia
>>Forex tutorials and trading
>>Online gaming like chess and draughts

The platform is marketed as a flexible way to earn income, particularly for users in East Africa and other regions like Kenya, Uganda, and Ghana.

Red flags and concerns
1.Affiliate marketing emphasis:
Statehela has a strong focus on recruitment-based or affiliate marketing, which is a common feature of pyramid schemes. These schemes rely on recruiting new members rather than selling actual products or services. While legitimate network marketing exists, the distinction is often difficult to determine.
2.Unrealistic gains:
Pyramid schemes often promise very high or unrealistic returns on investment in a short period. If Statehela promises significant returns with minimal effort, it should be approached with extreme caution.
3.Product value:
Genuine businesses are centered on providing a product or service of real value. Pyramid schemes, however, often feature cheap or non-existent products, with the main incentive being the commission earned from recruiting others.
4.Lack of transparency:
The company's official-looking blog raises the very question of its legitimacy, rather than providing transparent answers. This lack of straightforward information is a common tactic used to deflect concerns.
5.Unsolicited offers and emails:
Be wary of any offer that comes unsolicited, especially one that asks for an upfront fee. Legitimate companies generally do not operate this way.

How to evaluate legitimacy

To make an informed decision, you should look for the following:
1.Focus on product sales vs. recruitment:
A legitimate business model primarily focuses on making money from selling products or services. If the primary way to earn money is by recruiting new members, it is highly likely to be a pyramid scheme.
2.Real commercial activity:
A true business has legitimate commercial activity, including selling products or services, not just recycling sign-up fees among members.
3.Transparent financials:
A legitimate company will have a clear and transparent inflow and outflow of money. Be wary if the profit-sharing seems overly lucrative.
4.Product value:
Evaluate if the product or service being offered is valuable and can be retailed to customers who are not part of the scheme.

Conclusion
While Statehela presents itself as a legitimate way to earn income, the emphasis on affiliate marketing and the potential for a pyramid scheme structure raise serious doubts about its business model. Extreme caution is advised

There are still some incredibly strange and mysterious places on Earth that baffle scientists and defy even the most advanced technology. These locations either have unusual physical properties or phenomena that are not yet fully understood. Let’s dive into some of them with descriptions and pictures!

1. The Bermuda Triangle (Atlantic Ocean)

Description: This infamous area, stretching between Miami, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico, has been the site of countless aircraft and ship disappearances. Despite decades of study, no conclusive explanation has been found, ranging from magnetic anomalies to theories of alien activity.

Why it's mysterious: Inconsistent navigational readings, magnetic anomalies, and some baffling disappearances continue to defy logical scientific explanations.

2. The Door to Hell (Turkmenistan)

Description: A massive crater in Turkmenistan that has been burning continuously since 1971, when Soviet geologists accidentally caused a collapse while drilling for gas. The fire is expected to burn for centuries. The cause of the fire, as well as the formation of the crater itself, remain somewhat mysterious.

Why it's mysterious: It’s not just the long-burning fire but the sheer scale of the hole and the unknowns about how the geologists managed to create it or why it hasn’t been successfully extinguished.

3. Lake Vostok (Antarctica)

Description: Buried beneath over two miles of ice, Lake Vostok has been isolated from the rest of the world for over 15 million years. It holds unique microbial life forms, and scientists are eager to study it as it may offer clues about how life might exist on other planets.

Why it's mysterious: The extreme isolation of the lake raises questions about how life can exist without sunlight, and what other unknown life forms might be thriving there.

4. The Catatumbo Lightning (Venezuela)

Description: Over the Catatumbo River, thunderstorms occur almost every night, creating constant, intense lightning storms that can last up to 10 hours. The phenomenon is a natural, recurring event that is yet to be fully explained.

Why it's mysterious: The reason for the constant lightning over this specific area is still not completely understood. It’s likely due to the combination of atmospheric and geographical conditions, but it’s one of the most consistently observed natural lightning phenomena on Earth.

5. The Richat Structure (Mauritania)

Description: Often referred to as the "Eye of the Sahara," this geological formation in Mauritania appears as a giant circular pattern visible from space. Some believe it’s a result of a meteorite impact, while others suggest it is an ancient geological dome that has eroded.

Why it's mysterious: Despite being studied by geologists, the exact origin and purpose of the structure remain a topic of debate, with some suggesting it could be an ancient man-made site.

6. The Sailing Stones (Death Valley, California)

Description: In the Racetrack Playa of Death Valley, large stones mysteriously move across the desert floor, leaving long trails behind them. This phenomenon had remained unexplained until recently, when scientists discovered that a combination of ice, rain, and wind helps the stones "sail" across the flat surface.

Why it's mysterious: While the physical explanation is now known, the phenomenon's rarity and the slow movement of the rocks make it a curious and still somewhat mysterious sight.

7. Mount Roraima (Venezuela/Brazil/Guyana)

Description: This flat-topped mountain is one of the oldest geological formations on Earth and inspired Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s novel The Lost World. Its isolated ecosystem is home to many unique species that aren't found anywhere else in the world.

Why it's mysterious: The mountain’s unique ecosystem and its ancient, isolated geography make it a subject of intrigue. Some of its inhabitants, like the Roraima grasshopper, are not found in any other place on Earth.

8. The Nazca Lines (Peru)

Description: The Nazca Lines are a series of large ancient geoglyphs made in the soil of the Nazca Desert in southern Peru. Some of these lines form images of animals, plants, and geometric patterns. The purpose and method of creation are still unknown, despite theories ranging from astronomical calendars to extraterrestrial involvement.

Why it's mysterious: The lines are best viewed from the sky, raising questions about how ancient people could have created such precise patterns without the ability to fly or observe them from above.

9. The Tunguska Event (Siberia, Russia)
Description: In 1908, an explosion of about 10-15 megatons of TNT occurred over a remote area in Siberia, flattening over 2,000 square kilometers of forest. The cause is widely believed to have been the airburst of a meteoroid or comet, but no crater was found, leading to much speculation.

Why it's mysterious: The absence of a crater and the massive explosion remain one of the biggest unsolved mysteries of modern times. Some even theorize that it could have been a UFO-related incident.

10. The Bermuda Triangle (Pacific Ocean – Devil’s Sea)

Description: Similar to its Atlantic counterpart, the Devil's Sea near Japan has gained a reputation for disappearing ships and aircraft. Many believe it’s due to underwater volcanic activity, methane gas emissions, or magnetic anomalies, though no definitive cause has been found.

Why it's mysterious: Like the Bermuda Triangle, it defies conventional explanation, with only theories such as electromagnetic fields or sudden underwater gas releases being explored.

These places are only a few examples of the many strange and unexplained phenomena on Earth. While science has made enormous strides in understanding the natural world, these places still push the boundaries of our knowledge. They remind us that, despite our advanced technology, the planet still holds many mysteries yet to be solved!

WHY IS IT THAT SCHOOL BUSES AND VANS ARE GLOSSY YELLOW PAINTED IN MOST NATIONS???
Now here are some reasons behind this phenomenon:
The idea for standardized yellow school buses emerged from a 1939 conference on safety and visibility, led by Frank Cyr, and was adopted in the United States to create a consistent, easily recognizable look for school buses. The particular "School Bus Glossy Yellow" was chosen because it is highly visible and grabs attention effectively, especially in peripheral vision, even in low light conditions, to enhance overall safety for students.
Here's a breakdown of the idea's adoption:
Lack of Standardization:
Before 1939, school buses had inconsistent appearances in terms of size, shape, and color.
Frank Cyr's Initiative:
Frank Cyr, a key figure in standardizing school buses, organized a 1939 conference to address these inconsistencies and improve safety.
The Choice of Yellow:
After research and discussion, a specific shade of yellow, known as National School Bus Glossy Yellow, was selected.
Reasons for Yellow:
Visibility: The color is highly visible in both daylight and low-light conditions.
Attention-Grabbing: Human eyes are particularly sensitive to this yellow-green color, and studies show it is noticed quicker in peripheral vision than other colors.
Safety: The high visibility of the yellow helps other drivers spot the buses quickly and increases overall child transportation safety.
Federal Regulation:
Federal regulations now require this specific color for school buses in the United States, making them a uniform and easily identifiable part of the largest public transit system.

"Did you know that 80% of people will get HPV in their lifetime?"
This is because, this virus is extremely contagious among s*xually active individuals, which involve huge number of adults.
What's HPV?
HPV, or Human Papillomavirus, is a common viral infection that can be transmitted through s*xual contact. Most HPV infections are harmless and clear up on their own, but some types can cause health problems, including ge***al warts and certain cancers.
Here's a more detailed explanation:
What it is: HPV is a group of over 100 related viruses.
Transmission: It's mainly spread through skin-to-skin contact during s*xual activity.
Commonality: It's extremely common, with most s*xually active people being infected at some point in their lives.
Harmlessness: In most cases, the body's immune system clears the virus without any symptoms or health issues.
Potential Problems: Some HPV types can cause:
Ge***al warts: These are benign growths that can appear on the ge***als, a**s, or surrounding areas.
Cancers: Certain high-risk HPV types are linked to cancers of the cervix, p***s, a**s, mouth, and throat.
Prevention:
HPV vaccine: Vaccination is highly effective in preventing infection with the most common cancer-causing HPV types.
Safe s*x practices: Using condoms can reduce the risk of transmission, though they don't offer complete protection.
Testing and Treatment:
Pap tests and HPV tests: Regular screenings, such as Pap tests and HPV tests, are important for early detection of cell changes that could lead to cancer.
Treatment: Ge***al warts can be treated with medication or other procedures, and early detection of cell changes allows for timely intervention to prevent cancer.

WHAT A BIZARRE CREATURE!!!
Today let's examine mythical CREATURE by name Mermaid 🧜‍♀️.
What's Mermaid?
A mermaid is a mythical aquatic creature with the upper body of a woman and the tail of a fish. They are prominent figures in folklore and mythology across various cultures, often depicted as alluring and mysterious beings.
Here's a more detailed look at mermaids:
Appearance:
The most recognizable feature is the combination of a human female head and torso with a fish's tail.
Cultural Significance:
Mermaids appear in the folklore of Europe, Asia, Africa, and other parts of the world.
Folklore:
They are often portrayed as having magical or prophetic powers, sometimes as benevolent figures and other times as dangerous temptresses who lure sailors to their deaths.
Examples:
The ancient Greek sirens who lured sailors with their songs are one example. The Little Mermaid, a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen, is a well-known story about a mermaid's desire to become human.
Origin of the Myth:
The myth of mermaids may be inspired by sightings of aquatic mammals like manatees and dugongs that nurse their young in a human-like way, according to Britannica.
Modern Depictions:
Mermaids continue to be popular figures in literature, film, and art, with Disney's "The Little Mermaid" being a prominent example, according to the official trailer.

Is Mermaid a mammal?
Nay, mermaids are not mammals; they are mythical creatures. While some fictional depictions portray them with mammal-like characteristics like breasts and the ability to breathe air, mermaids are fundamentally a product of folklore and imagination, not biology.
Mammal Characteristics in Fiction:
Some fictional mermaid portrayals include features like mammary glands (for producing milk), hair, and the ability to breathe air, which are traits of mammals.
Distinction from Real Marine Mammals:
Real-world marine mammals, like whales, dolphins, and seals, belong to the class Mammalia and have a biological structure based on living and reproducing on land, not as half-human creatures.
No Scientific Evidence:
There is no scientific evidence to support the existence of mermaids, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) explicitly states they do not exist according to NOAA's National Ocean Service (.gov).
Inspiration from Marine Life:
Some believe that sightings of marine mammals like manatees and dugongs may have contributed to the mermaid myth according to Scuba Diving Magazine.

"WHAT IF THE STARS ✨ COULD ANSWERS OUR DEEPEST QUESTIONS?"
How do illness come to existence in an organisms body???
Infectious illnesses originate from pathogens that invade the body and cause disease.
These pathogens can include;
a) viruses
b)bacteria
c)fungi
d)parasites.
The origin of a specific illness depends on the pathogen involved, but generally, these pathogens are transmitted through various means such as direct contact, contaminated surfaces, food or water, or through bites from infected animals or insects.
Here's a breakdown of how infections occur:
1. Entry: Pathogens enter the body through various routes, including:
Mucous membranes: The respiratory, gastrointestinal, and uroge***al tracts are common entry points.
Skin: Wounds or bites can create openings for pathogens to enter.
Contact: Direct contact with infected individuals or contaminated surfaces can transmit pathogens.
Airborne droplets: Sneezing, coughing, or talking can spread droplets containing pathogens.
2. Establishment: Once inside the body, pathogens need to establish an infection. This involves:
Adhering to host cells: Pathogens attach to and invade host cells.
Replication: Pathogens multiply within the host cells.
Spread: Some pathogens spread to other parts of the body, either directly or through toxins they produce.
3. Disease: The symptoms of an infectious disease depend on the pathogen and the extent of its spread. Common symptoms include fever, fatigue, and muscle aches.
4. Immune Response: The body's immune system responds to the infection.
Innate immunity:
This is the body's first line of defense, which includes physical barriers like skin and chemical defenses like enzymes.
Adaptive immunity:
This is a more specific response that develops over time and provides long-lasting protection against reinfection.
5. Outcome: The outcome of an infection depends on the pathogen, the host's immune response, and the effectiveness of any treatment. Some infections are cleared quickly with little lasting damage, while others can cause severe illness or even death.
How Infection Works - What You Need to Know About Infectious ...
Entering the Human Host Microorganisms capable of causing disease—pathogens—usually enter our bodies through the mouth, eyes, nose, or uroge***al openings.

DID YOU KNOW ANCESTRAL MAN ORIGINATED FROM AFRICA CONTINENT (CRADLE OF MANKIND?AND WHY EXISTS DIVERSITY IN MAN'S SKIN COLOURS?
The diversity in skin color among humans is a result of adaptation to different geographic locations and exposure to sunlight after our species migrated out of Africa. While all humans share a common origin, populations evolving in different environments developed varying levels of melanin production in their skin to optimize vitamin D synthesis and protect against harmful UV radiation.
Principles for skin colour diversity:
Modern humans (Homo sapiens) evolved in Africa and then migrated to other parts of the world.
Genetic Diversity:
As populations dispersed, they encountered varying levels of sunlight. Those in regions with less sunlight (like Europe and Asia) developed lighter skin to allow for more efficient vitamin D production.
Adaptation to Sunlight:
Melanin, the pigment that determines skin color, protects against harmful UV radiation. Populations in areas with high sun exposure (like Africa) evolved darker skin to shield themselves from sun damage.
Not Separate Races:
It's important to note that "race" is a social construct, not a biological one. Skin color differences are just one aspect of human variation and do not indicate separate evolutionary paths.
