Kahlil Gibran is the kind of author that can resensitize a jaded soul… thank you Lebanon for nurturing endless artists and poets to share their magic with the world 🪄

Kahlil Gibran (1881-1931) was a Lebanese-American poet, writer, and philosopher, who bridged the soul’s longing for truth with the world’s eternal search for wisdom.

Born in “Wadi Qadisha” or the sacred valley of Lebanon as a Maronite Christian, Gibran moved to the United States as a young man, where he became an influential voice in both Eastern and Western literary traditions. His most famous work, The Prophet (1923), is a collection of 26 poetic essays that explores timeless themes such as love, freedom, work, and spirituality. Written in a lyrical, mystical style, The Prophet has been translated into more than 100 languages and remains one of the most widely read and beloved books of the 20th century. Gibran’s blend of Eastern mysticism and Western romanticism appealed to readers seeking spiritual and philosophical guidance.

Gibran’s impact on global literature and philosophy is immense, as his works transcend cultural and religious boundaries. His ideas about the interconnectedness of all humanity, the pursuit of personal freedom, and the power of love resonated with readers from diverse backgrounds. Gibran’s writings have influenced spiritual movements, literary circles, and even political discourse, especially in the Arab world where he is considered one of the most influential writers of modern Arabic literature. His philosophy emphasizes the universality of human experience, bridging the gap between East and West, and his poetic vision continues to inspire generations of thinkers, artists, and spiritual seekers worldwide.

Join us for a celebration of this seasonal shift + some ancient fall equinox rituals.

Mehragan - celebrates nature’s blessings and generosity at harvest time: when growing things reach their symbolic perfection. We will share gifts to reflect natures spirit, have music, an art zone to generate visual prayers, a custom scent bar, henna painting, snacks and Sharbats: Persian botanical and floral drinks. All to prepare us to approach the darker season where we begin the shift to the inner world’s magic.

In my mother’s childhood in Iran, this poem by Saadi was one of many “mental health technologies” learned by every child. The machine wants our empathy/ collective conscience to suffocate, our hearts to harden like stone 🪨. But what seems to happen to others @ a great distance does actually impact each of us… what happens to the earth macrocosm, & to the collective, resonates inside each human♾️microcosm.

The “lungs of the earth” in the Amazon were burning then COVID hit us all in the lungs, the Middle East has long been considered the heart of the world, it’s not a coincidence humanity has now become so disconnected from our own hearts. As foreign groups sow discord in the region, destabilizing for extraction in a now-familiar playbook for any astute eye. We must find ways to keep love and compassion radiant // alive in our “inner temples” —> our hearts, in times like this more than ever, not for only our “own” but for our FAMILY across all the fake divides. Funny in all the wellness/spiritual spaces in the West they keep trying to replicate the ancient soul sciences from this same region, formerly known as “the land of love.” Maybe time to try letting our ancestral elders of all the wests spiritual traditions survive&thrive so we can learn at their feet. The human heart state is so powerful. capable of sending electromagnetic signals up to a great distance and all our thoughts plant strong energetic seeds 🧲 🌱. (The Heart Math Institute has amazing research on this: how heart rhythms synchronize to both the collective + nervous systems to earth’s electromagnetic rhythms). Hence why such expensive effort is made to implant darkness in our minds, it empowers the discord sowers of tomorrow.

** this poem is called “Bani Adam” meaning children of Adam, the Persian & Sufi philosophy that we are all one family, vindicated by “mitochondrial eve” that showed every living human has a common ancestor💜

disconnection from intuition = one of many common modern soul ailments. Developing and connecting to our inner antenna was an art and thousand+ level journey many ancient cultures mastered.

“See what happens if you lean into the idea that there is a wider plan or path that your soul wants to go down, that you just haven’t tuned into or grasped yet” ~
