10 FOODS THAT HELP KEEP YOUR KIDNEYS HEALTHY 💚🫘
Your kidneys work 24/7 to remove waste, balance fluids, control blood pressure, and keep your body healthy.
The good news? What you eat can help protect them.
Here are 10 kidney-friendly foods you should consider adding to your diet:
🥬 1. Cabbage – Rich in vitamins and antioxidants while being low in potassium.
🥦 2. Cauliflower – High in fiber and vitamin C, making it a great choice for overall kidney health.
🫑 3. Bell Peppers – Packed with antioxidants and vitamin C.
🫐 4. Blueberries – Loaded with antioxidants that help protect your body's cells from damage.
🍎 5. Apples – High in fiber and may help reduce inflammation.
🧄 6. Garlic – Adds flavor without extra salt and may support healthy blood pressure.
🧅 7. Onions – Nutritious, flavorful, and naturally low in sodium.
🐟 8. Fatty Fish (such as salmon, sardines, or mackerel) – Rich in omega-3 fatty acids that support heart and kidney health.
🥚 9. Egg Whites – A good source of high-quality protein.
🫒 10. Olive Oil – Contains healthy fats that support overall health.
💧 Bonus Tip: Stay well hydrated, reduce your salt intake, control your blood pressure and blood sugar, avoid smoking, and exercise regularly. These habits are just as important as the foods you eat.
⚠️ Important: If you already have kidney disease, don't change your diet without medical advice. Some healthy foods may need to be limited depending on your condition.
Your kidneys take care of you every day—take care of them too!
There is no s3x position or style that has been proven to increase your chances of conceiving twins.
Twins are much more likely to occur because of factors such as:
Family history of fraternal twins (especially on the mother's side).
Maternal age, particularly women over 35, who may release more than one egg during ovulation.
Fertility treatments, such as ovuIation-inducing medications or IVF, which can increase the chance of multiple pregnancies.
Having had several previous pregnancies may also slightly increase the chance of fraternal twins.
If your goal is to maximize your chances of getting pregnant (not specifically twins), focus on:
Having s3x during your fertile window (the 5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation).
Maintaining a healthy weight.
Eating a balanced diet and taking folic acid before conception.
Avoiding smoklng and limiting alc0h0l.

THE DAY A PATIENT ASKED ME A QUESTION I COULDN'T ANSWER, I REALIZED MY CONFIDENCE WAS BORROWED.
Before clinical posting...
I used to answer questions confidently in class.
If the lecturer asked...
My hand was already up.
I felt like Florence Nightingale's favorite student.
Then posting started.
I was standing beside a patient, looking very serious.
White uniform?
Complete.
Name tag?
Shining.
Stethoscope around my neck?
Present.
Confidence?
100%.
The patient looked at me and smiled.
Then asked,
"Student nurse... what exactly is this medicine treating?"
Immediately...
Every lecture I had ever attended disappeared.
I looked at the drug.
The drug looked back at me.
Neither of us wanted to speak.
I started remembering Pharmacology...
Nothing.
Medical-Surgical Nursing...
Nothing.
Even Anatomy that had nothing to do with the question tried to enter my head.
The patient was still waiting.
Looking at me with full confidence.
As if I had all the answers.
I smiled professionally and said,
"Please let me confirm with the nurse so I can give you the correct information."
Inside my mind...
I was already running to the nurses' station at the speed of light.
I asked the nurse.
She explained it.
I went back to the patient and answered confidently.
The patient smiled and said,
"Thank you."
That "Thank you" gave me more relief than passing an exam.
That day I learned something important.
Being a student nurse doesn't mean you must know everything.
What matters is being honest, asking when you're unsure, and giving patients accurate information instead of guessing.
From that day on...
I stopped being afraid to say,
"Let me confirm that for you."
Because in nursing...
It's always better to check than to misinform.
Happy birthday to you Nurse chimbusoma darling
