NOBODY TOLD ME HOW MUCH MY LIFE WOULD CHANGE AFTER BECOMING A MUM. 🥺

Before I became a mum, I prepared for the pregnancy.

I prepared for delivery.

I bought baby things.

But I don't think I truly prepared for how much my own life would change.

My sleep changed.
My routine changed.
My priorities changed.

And suddenly, there was this little human who depended on me for almost everything.

If you're expecting your first baby, please know this:

You may not feel completely like yourself at first and that's okay.

Give yourself time to adjust. Motherhood is a new chapter, and you're learning too. ❤️

You can love your baby and still feel overwhelmed.

Follow me if you're a new or expecting mum. 🤎

Our Sunday vlog, get ready with us for mass

That múmú Spírït Wanted Me to Sleep Back This Morning 😂

I woke up late this morning, sometime after 7am, and I was still feeling very sleepy.
I usually sleep late, and honestly, I know it’s not the best for my health. But when you have a little toddler who must sleep before mummy can sleep, you understand the struggle.

So when I woke up this morning, that múmú spìrít started telling me:

Just sleep for a little longer you deserve it.

But thank God, the Spirit of God was greater! 🙏😂

I overcame the sleep temptation, got up, went straight to boil water, bathed the kids, took my bath, and we started getting ready for church.

We eventually arrived around 8:10am, just a little late because Mass was for 8am.

But hey, mummy made it!

Sometimes motherhood is simply about getting up and doing what needs to be done, even when your body is begging you for more sleep.

Happy Sunday, intentional mums. ❤️

WHAT IS DRY SKIN IN BABIES?

Have you noticed that your baby’s skin sometimes looks rough, flaky, ashy or feels tight to touch? It could be dry skin.

Dry skin happens when the skin does not have enough moisture to keep it soft and healthy.
Babies have delicate skin, so their skin can become dry more easily, especially from frequent bathing, hot water, harsh soaps or skincare products that don't suit their skin.
And here is something every mother should remember:

Not every skincare product that works for another baby will work for your baby.
Your baby’s skin is unique, and understanding what their skin needs is more important than simply following what worked for someone else.

In my own case, I learned this lesson when my son developed changes on his skin, and I had to take him to a pediatrician to find out what was actually wrong.

Mummy, don't experiment endlessly on your baby's skin. Learn to understand it. ❤️

Follow me as I share more simple tips on caring for your baby's skin.

Those white patches on my son’s skin made me realize I had been making a mistake as a mother

After experimenting with different skincare products on my son, I started noticing white patches on his leg and hand

That was when I told myself, “Mummy, carry your child and go and see a pediatrician.” 😩

I took him to the pediatrician, and after examining him, she told me that my son had dry skin.

She asked me what skincare products I had been using on him, and I told her.

She then recommended some skincare products specifically for his skin.

And that experience taught me something every mother needs to know:

Just because a skincare product works for another child does NOT mean it will work for your baby.

Before changing products repeatedly, pay attention to your baby’s skin.

Dryness, roughness, peeling, redness or unusual patches may be signs that the skin needs proper attention.

And please, don’t keep experimenting when you notice something unusual. Seek professional advice.

👉 Follow me because in my next post I’ll show you the skincare products the pediatrician recommended for my son and what I learned from the experience.

Good morning my intentional family

I thought I was helping my baby’s skin… until a pediatrician told me what I was doing wrong. 😳

I kept trying different skincare products on my baby, hoping one of them would finally improve his skin.

But instead of getting better, nothing seemed to change.

So I stopped experimenting and took him to the hospital to see a pediatrician.

What the pediatrician told me made me realise something important:

Not every skincare product will suit every baby’s skin.

She examined my baby and told us he had dry skin and recommended the appropriate skincare products for him.

That experience taught me this:
Your baby’s skin is not a testing ground for every product you see.

What works for another baby may not necessarily work for yours.

And that is why I’m going to be
sharing more about baby skin types, how to identify dry skin, and how to care for your baby’s skin without unnecessary experimentation.

Follow me, if you want to be an intentional mum 👍
