"To the people telling me to forgive my mother for what she did, how do you all expect me to forgive her?"

A man has shared a painful story about his relationship with his mother.

According to his account, he got a job in 2015 through one of his mother's friends and earned a monthly salary of ₦15,000. He claimed that, without his knowledge, his mother arranged for his salary to be collected on her behalf for five years.

He said that each time he asked about his pay, he was told to keep working and that he would be paid later. After confronting his mother, he alleged that she asked him to leave her house and disowned him.

The man also claimed he spent years sleeping under a bridge before eventually rebuilding his life. Now that he is doing better, he says some people are encouraging him to forgive his mother, but he insists he is not ready.

If this account is accurate, it raises difficult questions about trust, forgiveness, and family relationships.

What are your thoughts? Do you believe forgiveness is always necessary, or are there situations where healing takes time?

Beauty trends keep evolving, and this one definitely caught my attention. 👀

I came across someone wearing extra-long eyelashes, and now I'm curious—are they the latest fashion trend, or is it simply a unique personal style?

What's your take?

What began as heavy rainfall turned into a nightmare for many families in parts of Accra, Ghana.

Entire neighbourhoods were overwhelmed as floodwaters poured into homes, leaving families scrambling to save themselves and whatever belongings they could carry. Many houses were submerged, forcing residents to wade through dangerously deep water in search of safety.

One of the most emotional moments captured on video was the desperate voice of a woman pleading for rescue, saying that people were trapped inside their rooms as the floodwaters continued to rise. It was a heartbreaking reminder of how quickly lives can change during disasters like this.

Many people have now been displaced, while others are left counting their losses and wondering how they will rebuild. The tragedy has also renewed conversations about drainage infrastructure, emergency preparedness, and the increasing impact of extreme weather on communities.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected. We hope those still in danger are rescued quickly and that families receive the support they need to recover.

💬 What do you think communities and governments can do together to reduce the impact of devastating floods like this in the future?

You sure say this akara business is for me?😂

The recent conversation about akara, agbado, and kuli-kuli has sparked thoughtful discussions across Nigeria, with people sharing different perspectives on the issue.

One thing most people seem to agree on is that there is dignity in honest work. There is absolutely nothing wrong with selling akara, roasting corn, making kuli-kuli, or engaging in any legitimate business. Millions of Nigerians have raised families, paid school fees, and built meaningful lives through small businesses. Every honest hustle deserves respect.

At the same time, the discussion has also highlighted a broader aspiration. Many Nigerians hope for an economy where people have a wide range of opportunities—whether that's running a small business, pursuing a profession, learning a skilled trade, or building a company.

This conversation is not about looking down on any occupation. It is about creating an environment where hard work is rewarded, businesses can grow, and people have the freedom to choose the path that best matches their talents, ambitions, and dreams.

Every honest job has value. Every entrepreneur deserves support. And every Nigerian deserves the opportunity to build a better future through dedication, creativity, and hard work.

Respecting honest work and expanding opportunities can go hand in hand.

What are your thoughts on this conversation? Do you think the focus should be on celebrating honest work, creating more opportunities, or both? Share your opinion respectfully in the comments.
