I can't wait to have a Governor of a south Western state who like PETER OBI will rule a state for 8yrs;
1. He didn't borrow a Kobo.
2. He didn't use bulletproof car.
3. He never lived outside the state till end.
4. He met a debt of N36billion.
5. He met Onitsha as a terror zone.
6. He met his state at 27 in WAEC and NECO.
7. He met a kitchen called Govt House.
8. He met no Primary Healthcare.
9. He met no General Hospital in 14-LGs.
10. He met poor Pri. and Sec. school structures.
Before leaving;
1. Anambra wasn't owing any contractor or worker.
2. He cleared the inherited ₦36billion debt.
3. He brought in SMEs to the traders of the state.
4. He built the today's Govt House.
5. He built 18-Gen Hospitals and a state Specialist.
6. He built 178-Primary Health centres.
7. He fought and won the state against hoodlums.
8. He pushed the state 1st in 3yrs consecutively in WAEC and NECO.
9. He built brewery that employed over 3000 direct and indirect job seekers.
10. He even had to save ₦36billion and $150million for his successors to use and run administrations.
11. He drove 406 and Innoson throughout.
12. He didn't acquire any property anywhere while in office.
13. He never awarded any contract to family members.
14. His wife hadn't office, and allowed to mess with the state. She had her enterprises in UK.
15. Obasanjo had to come to Onitsha and spent 1-week bcos of peaceful environment.
16. He invited anti-graft to come and audit his administration, before handing over.
17. He refused to accept a piece of land, and gratuity and pension.
18. He never went close to State Govt House after handing over.
19. He never struggle to frustrate his successors policies.
20. Till today, he kept gifting multi-millions to Schools, Healthcare development, and entrepreneurship developments.
21. He even work as Chairman of SEC at the national stage without pay
If your definition of leadership is right you won't be against Peter Obi.
Only a selfish mind would see all these and still question it.
Peter Obi - a man that defiles Nigeria's version of leadership.

Before the statement, the pair reportedly had a tense exchange during a phone call regarding escalating conflict in Lebanon between Tel Aviv and Hezbollah.
A source told Axios that at one point, Trump bluntly asked Netanyahu: 'What the f*** are you doing?'
Trump eventually went off on the prime minister, directly stating that Netanyahu would be jailed without him.
'You're f***ing crazy. You'd be in prison if it weren't for me. I'm saving your ass. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this,' he reportedly said.
Two sources told the outlet that Trump accused Netanyahu of being ungrateful to him and that making good on threats to bomb Beirut would make things worse for Israel.
The sources hinted that Trump's rage was driven by a belief that Israel's actions were making it harder to forge a peace deal with Iran.
Netanyahu later appeared to cast doubt on Trump's claim of a ceasefire, saying that his country would strike Beirut if Hezbollah doesn't stop attacking Israel.
'I spoke this evening with President Trump and told him that if Hezbollah does not cease attacking our towns and our citizens, Israel will strike terrorist targets in Beirut,' Netanyahu said, according to a statement released by his office.
The Daily Mail has reached out to both the White House and Prime Minister Netanyahu for further comment.
Iran's top negotiators on Monday stopped exchanging messages with the US through Pakistani intermediaries as Tehran vowed to fully shut down the Strait of Hormuz, according to the Iranian state-affiliated news outlet Tasnim.
The report claims Iran cut off communication because it believes one of the preconditions for the ceasefire was a halt to the IDF's continued attacks on its Hezbollah allies in Lebanon.
The regime says 'No dialogue will take place' until Israel fully withdraws from Lebanon and also stops attacks in Gaza, according to Tasnim.
'Also, the resistance front and Iran have resolved to completely block the Strait of Hormuz and activate other fronts including the Bab al-Mandeb Strait, in order to punish the Zionists and their supporters,' a regime official told state media.

Tinubu’s Daughter Threatens Protest Over Lagos APC Primaries.
The Iyaloja-General of Nigeria, Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, has threatened to lead a protest following the outcome of the recently conducted All Progressives Congress (APC) primary elections in Lagos State.
She alleged that the electoral process was heavily manipulated to favor the party’s Justice Forum faction.
Speaking at a weekly meeting of market leaders and stakeholders held at her Alausa office in Ikeja, Tinubu-Ojo specifically contested the results declared by the Lagos APC for Mushin Federal Constituency 2, Agege Constituency 2, and Ojokoro constituencies, describing them as skewed.
The development follows the release of the official candidates list by the Lagos State chapter of the APC for the House of Representatives and State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The list, endorsed by the Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, confirmed 24 candidates for federal seats and 40 for the state legislature.
Among the cleared candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly are Mojisola Meranda (Apapa I), Musibau Lawal (Apapa II), Barakat Bakare-Odunuga (Surulere I), and Damilola Ayinde-Marshal (Surulere II), alongside winners across the 40 constituencies.
Tinubu-Ojo called on both state and national leadership of the APC to launch an immediate investigation into the controversial primaries before the results are finalized, warning that ignoring the grievances could worsen internal friction within the ruling party.
She strongly defended the reported victories of candidates like Seye Oladejo (Mushin Constituency 2), Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo (Agege 2), and Olotu Ojo (Ojokoro), demanding that their victories remain untouched.
“We are ready to protest because of Seye Oladejo of Mushin Federal Constituency 02, Mutiu Olaide Oladeebo of Agege 2 constituency, Olotu Ojo of Ojokoro constituency, because we know they won this election. Their mandate should not be given to somebody else,” she said.
The market leader cautioned that leaving the crisis unresolved could harm the party’s internal cohesion ahead of the upcoming general elections, urging party elders to step in and restore confidence among stakeholders.
She further alleged that internal party machinery is being weaponized along factional lines between the Justice Forum and the Mandate Group, a division she believes could tear the party apart before 2027.
She said, “We have to cry out now. Let APC cancel Justice and Mandate Forums. We are one family. We are for APC. Now, they are using Justice Forum and Mandate because our candidate, Obafemi Hamzat, belongs to the Justice Forum.
“Everyone is now joining the Justice Forum because they believe that is where the incoming governor belongs. Are we not Lagosians? We are all APC.
“Even when he becomes governor, he will not govern only APC members; he has to balance it. Everyone must be carried along. If you are a leader, you are leading both your friends and foes.
“I can’t understand members of Mandate Group dumping the group and joining Justice Forum. And if Mandate won the election, they would try to manipulate and put Justice Forum members there. It is saddening. It is a way of telling us that hard work does not pay in politics. Something must be done about it.”
Despite the current friction, Tinubu-Ojo reiterated that market women across Lagos State remain fully committed to supporting the governorship ambition of Obafemi Hamzat as well as other APC candidates.
However, she maintained that the trading community deserves better recognition and direct political inclusion, emphasizing that traders are a critical voting bloc in Lagos politics who must not be sidelined in governance or political appointments.

AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK APPOINTS AVIATION MINISTER, FESTUS KEYAMO, SAN, AS CHAMPION OF ITS AVIATION PROGRAM FOR AFRICA
Due to what it describes as Nigeria’s ‘leadership and vision’ in respect of various policy reforms to transform Nigeria’s Aviation sector, the African Development Bank has appointed Nigeria’s Aviation Minister, Festus Keyamo, as the African Champion to drive its program that has been developed to invest substantially in aviation in Africa. This is the Integrated Aviation Transformation Program for Africa (IATP) for which it has earmarked the sum of $7 billion (Seven Billion Dollars). In this respect, the bank has invited the Minister to its Annual Meeting holding in Brazzaville on the 28th of May, 2026, during which the formal signing of the LETTER OF INTENT (LOI) between the Bank and Nigeria will take place.

Veteran Kannywood Actress, Wasila Isma’il, Dies At 46.
The Hausa film industry, Kannywood, has been thrown into mourning following the passing of veteran actress Wasila Isma’il, who died at the age of 46 after battling a long-term sickness.
Her former husband, Al-Amin Chiroma, broke the news of her demise through a social media update on Sunday.
“Innalillahi Wainna Ilaihirrajiun. Wasila Isma’il is dead. She died at the Federation of Muslim Women Associations of Nigeria Hospital, Kaduna,” he said.
According to him, the screen star breathed her last on Sunday after succumbing to a protracted ailment. She leaves behind her children.
Wasila stood out as one of the influential personalities in Kannywood and earned widespread recognition for her performances in numerous Hausa movies.
Her journey in the acting world kicked off in 1998 when she appeared in the movie, “Jinin Masoya,” but her major breakthrough came in 1999 after she took the lead role in “Wasila,” a film helmed by director Yakubu Lere where she starred next to top actor Ali Nuhu.
The Kaduna-born actress turned into a household sensation on the back of that movie’s massive hit.
Speaking about the project in a past interview, the actress revealed that the film was originally meant to be called “Jamila” until she pleaded for a title modification.
“I didn’t like the name Jamila because I feared it might tarnish my name, so I asked for it to be changed, and the director agreed,” she had said.
As word of her departure spread, movie lovers and fellow industry practitioners flooded social media platforms to express their grief, honoring her as a gifted performer whose footprints in the Hausa cinema space will remain unforgettable.

10 States With Cheapest Accommodation In Nigeria
Finding budget-friendly accommodation in Nigeria comes down to structural development, industrial activity, and the local cost of living.
Areas heavily driven by agriculture and those situated just outside major commercial hubs offer excellent infrastructure and rental rates that are a fraction of what you would pay in places like Lagos or Abuja.
Based on 2026 real estate market indices and subnational baseline data, these are 10 states with the most affordable accommodation options in Nigeria.
1. Ebonyi State (Abakaliki)
Ebonyi consistently ranks as one of the most cost-effective states in the country. Because the state is a massive agricultural powerhouse—particularly for rice and yam production—the overall cost of living remains low, which heavily suppresses property values. In the capital city of Abakaliki, renting a standard self-contained apartment or a spacious two-bedroom flat is incredibly cheap compared to other southeastern capitals, making it highly accessible for low-to-middle-income earners.
2. Katsina State
Katsina offers some of the lowest average residential rental rates in the Northwest. The state maintains controlled growth in everyday essential pricing and household commodities. Because property demand is driven almost entirely by the local population rather than high expatriate or corporate presence, landlords price standard apartments and family bungalows at highly reasonable baselines.
3. Taraba State (Jalingo)
Taraba is a massive, serene state where accommodation costs are exceptionally compressed. In towns like Jalingo, housing development has steadily grown without the aggressive price spikes seen in major commercial zones. It is an ideal location for anyone looking to secure spacious residential space with minimal overhead costs.
4. Kebbi State (Birnin Kebbi)
Kebbi sits comfortably as an affordable agrarian hub in the North. Thanks to expansive local farming, subsidized commodity initiatives, and low overall non-food inflation, household budgets stretch very far here. The rental market in Birnin Kebbi remains highly relaxed, allowing families to rent multi-bedroom apartments for rates that would barely cover a few weeks of short-let lodging in southern hubs.
5. Bauchi State
Bauchi serves as a scenic gateway to northern tourism (housing the Yankari Game Reserve) but keeps its residential real estate remarkably cheap. The city offers well-maintained roads and clean neighborhoods without premium price tags. Average citizens, remote workers, and civil servants enjoy a low barrier to entry for housing, with suburban outposts offering highly competitive rental deals.
6. Zamfara State (Gusau)
Zamfara features highly compressed rental baselines, deeply linked to its heavily agrarian economy where over 85% of residents depend on farming. With low headline inflation and highly affordable local market groceries, residential property rates in areas like Gusau remain deeply budget-friendly, experiencing very little of the inflationary real estate shocks hitting coastal zones.
7. Kwara State (Ilorin)
Kwara smoothly bridges the gap between the North and South, offering a peaceful, youthful lifestyle largely centered around Ilorin’s educational institutions. Despite having solid urban amenities, competitive healthcare, and reliable roads, property prices in student and suburban clusters like Tanke are incredibly fair, making it a favorite spot for young professionals and families trying to dodge high costs.
8. Yobe State (Damaturu)
Yobe features an accommodation market focused entirely on essential, practical housing needs, removing the inflated luxury margins found in industrial capitals. In cities like Damaturu, residential leases and basic lodging costs are consistently low, shielded entirely from speculative real estate bubbles.
9. Sokoto State
Sokoto offers a deeply traditional and stable living environment with a highly affordable housing index. Because real estate operations are largely localized and free from aggressive corporate bidding, the cost of renting homes or securing standard accommodation in secure neighborhoods remains exceptionally gentle on monthly household incomes.
10. Gombe State
Rounding out the list is Gombe, which maintains great price stability across its non-food components, including transportation, local services, and housing utilities. It offers an incredibly low entry point for people looking to rent functional, modern apartments while keeping their monthly overhead low.

You will also need a confirmed return ticket, proof of hotel booking/accommodation, and enough foreign currency (or a globally accepted card) to prove you can support yourself during your stay.
