Celebrating Brotherhood, Unity and Culture

The spirit of brotherhood, unity and our shared political family continues to bring us together in beautiful moments of celebration.

It was a great pleasure to join my brother, Ogbueshi Amechi Mokolo, as he celebrated his New Yam Festival, an occasion filled with culture, joy and togetherness. The ceremony attracted a multitude of distinguished guests, friends, party faithful and well-wishers.

In attendance were our Ward Chairman, former Youth Leader, party stakeholders, friends and well-wishers, who all came together to celebrate this remarkable occasion.

As we continue to strengthen the bonds that unite us as brothers and members of one political family, I celebrate Ogbueshi Amechi Mokolo and his family on this auspicious occasion.

May this New Yam Festival bring abundant blessings, peace, prosperity and greater unity to our people.

Congratulations and happy celebration!

A Memorable New Yam Festival Celebration 🍠🎉

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of gracing the New Yam Festival celebration of our LGA Party Chairman(Ogbueshi Dada Okolo aka Omenife, held at Crimson Hotels, Bonsac.

The event was beautifully attended by numerous dignitaries, including my Local Government Chairman, Hon. EKO, fellow Councillors, State Government officials, party leaders, friends, and well-wishers from across the community.

It was more than a festival—it was a gathering of unity, culture, friendship and shared joy. Indeed, everyone who attended had a reason to celebrate and appreciate the strength of our community.

As Councillor representing Ward Seven (7), Umuagu, I was delighted to be part of this memorable occasion. I sincerely congratulate our LGA Party Chairman and his family and wish them continued blessings, prosperity and greater accomplishments.

New yam, new blessings, greater unity! 🌾🎉

Councillor Representing Ward Seven (7), Umuagu

As we embrace this beautiful Sunday, may it bring peace, hope and renewed strength to every family.

We remain hopeful that our administration will engage with the state government to roll out road rehabilitation and recovery efforts across the metropolis, especially on bad and dangerous roads, ahead of the festive season. Safe and accessible roads mean safer journeys and happier communities.

May this Sunday be filled with blessings, joy and renewed hope. Enjoy your special Sunday! 🙏🏽

Today, I joined my people at the grassroots in a meeting focused on one thing that matters most, ensuring that the benefits and opportunities of governance reach the people we represent.

As the Councillor representing my people and Majority Leader of the House, I remain committed to listening to the concerns of our communities, communicating government programmes effectively and ensuring that our people are properly informed about opportunities available to them.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ongoing government initiatives, particularly the empowerment programmes expected to commence in the coming days and weeks. The planned programme is expected to be implemented progressively, with outreach extending unit by unit, including Units 1, 2 and 3 which I represent to 30.

Our message to the people is simple: stay informed, stay engaged and participate actively in programmes designed to improve livelihoods at the grassroots. Empowerment becomes meaningful when it reaches ordinary families, young people, women, entrepreneurs and other members of our communities.

The Federal Government has announced several initiatives focused on human capital development, social investment and economic empowerment, while the Renewed Hope Ward Development Project is specifically described as a grassroots, bottom-up approach to development.

As preparations continue towards the 2027 elections, our responsibility at the grassroots is also to encourage civic participation, peaceful engagement and informed decision-making. INEC has already commenced preparations for the 2027 electoral cycle.

The new approach must be about PEOPLE FIRST.
Not merely talking about development, but ensuring that government programmes are communicated, accessed and felt by the people at the community level.

From unit to unit, street to street and community to community, we will continue to engage, listen and communicate opportunities to our people.
