OCTOBER BE GOOD. 🤲

I was just thinking about something.

Have you noticed how Koreans speak Korean in their movies, interviews, concerts and even when advertising online, and nobody says they’re not educated just because they’re speaking their own language?

Same thing with Indians, Chinese and many other countries. They speak their own language and nobody tells them they must speak English before they can advertise or express themselves.

But here in Nigeria, someone will come online to advertise their business in Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa or Pidgin and people will start saying, “Speak English” or “Are you not educated?” 😂

Speaking your own language doesn’t mean you’re not educated.

And honestly, I feel like this is one of the reasons some people are scared to come online. They’re scared of people laughing at their English, accent or pronunciation.

If Yoruba is what you’re comfortable speaking, speak it. If it’s Igbo, Hausa or Pidgin, speak it.

You can still improve your English without being ashamed of your own language.

Don’t let people’s comments stop you from showing up and promoting your business.
