THROW BACK THURSDAY: KEEP ON BELIEVING IN YOURSELF
♦ It’s another beautiful Thursday and it’s a day to reminisce on how far we have come.
♦ Before I left Osogbo for Ibadan, I remembered discussing with an old friend that we worked together in the same place that I would work even when I knew I was going for a full time programme in school. I told him, even if it meant working in an hotel on night shift, I wouldn’t mind. I wanted to continue making money on my own and fending for myself. I knew it wouldn’t be easy as it sounded.
♦ So, I decided to look for the hotel job before going to Ibadan, alas, I couldn’t get any. My job searching tales is a complete story entirely and for another day😀.
♦ When we started receiving lectures in school, I had started producing organic cosmetics and I remembered I would just make a loud noise from the back of the class when the class is silent to advertise our products and services. I think it was my passion that wouldn’t let me rest.
♦ So, one day a beautiful soul decided to give us a trial Precious Eseohe Idemudian, when people saw what we did with her hair people started trusting us. Thanks so much ESE💕.
♦ Those days when she came to my hostel we would wash her hair in a bending position into the gutter and babe didn’t mind.
♦ So, she came around few days ago and reminded me of the stunts my hostel mates used to pull then. Then, we were still Sophia Beauty Hub and they would be shouting hubuuuu up and down😀. They were wonderful people.
♦ Really, the business doesn’t even look like any hub then, we had just a plastic chair that I used in my room and some basic equipment but we had a picture in mind. All glory to God that it is looking like it but not as we want it to be. It can only get better.
♦ All these were possible because we kept on believing.
♦ Did you get something? Is there anything you are doing today and you think it’s small, it can be bigger, keep putting in the work and keep believing.
